Reno, Rude and Tseng came straight out of a yakuza game...

I notice that the new SOLDIER's sword and outfit are the almost same as the ones that Zack uses in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

This game looks amazingly great, easiest day one buy ever.

I would add Don Corneo to that list.

Damn, that looks great.

I'm a Tifa guy, but Aerith sure looks gorgeous in that dress

Can’t wait to see Tifa in her dress. Would be a good way to placate those upset over the sports bra lol. Interesting that they are including her in the Wall Market portion

God that trailer looks so great I'm almost sad it's not (yet?) coming out for PC. It would look fantastic.

A special collection of the soundtrack from the original game and from the upcoming remake set for a January 31st 2020 release.

https://youtu.be/W8D87l_4ybw

Now all we need is a trailer with One-Winged Angel playing in the background, and we’re all set.

after hearing the english trailer, the only thing I am disappointed in is that they replaced Reno and Rude dub voice actors. Loved Crispin Freeman and Quinton Flynn as their voice actors.

They released a playthrough of the Demo!

There is also an IGN version of it, however there the "journalists" thought their commentary had higher priority than the ingame soundeffects/dialogue/OST, so I wouldn't recommend that one.

Sweet though it may be, I do have a complaint to make...Tifa's attacks are all over the place - from a straight punch and a low kick, she's pulling off flip heel drops and 360s? It may sound like a stupid thing to say, but it doesn't feel realistic. OTOH Aerith and Cloud's moves flow more naturally.

The overall combat feel draws from FFXIII, but at least in this case you have a lot to DO in a battle. The summon mechanics seem pretty good, although timing a HEAT break along with a dismissal attack is exploitable for massive damage.

Well considering the original FF7 depicted the team tanking a literal Supernova to the face for percent based damage.... I don't think realism is a huge factor here. I'm sure veterans of the original game can remember several other physics breaking things.

RPGs in general have a certain level of suspension of disbelief to them. Especially those World Destroying spells you see sometimes in battles.

I don't really think nitpicking "realism" is a good thing for this kind of game. As a general rule.

Damage is not the point here - even fantasy worlds abide by laws, though. Like, you can't climb a mountain without a mountain chocobo (or something better), or for battles e.g. meteor strike looks like shit in the original game, Climhazzard could have a better recovery, Red and Vincent's attacks can have better flow, etc.

Tifa's got too many hits in her autos, a total of nine attacks in four seconds - and one of those seconds is a pause for an axe flip. It takes away from the game's feeling the same way that Code:Vein's attacks in the early videos had no gravity behind them.

FF7 remake gets delayed from 3rd March to 10th April.
Not shocked tbh. I'm pretty sure most people expected this since it's squareenix.

They better be glad its not getting the FFXV treatment. People can still remember when it was supposed to be part of the Type-0 and XIII Crystalis Nova project.

Sigh, I wish this news was less disappointing. It wasn't impossible, but I really hoped they'd avoid delays. They threw the release date so far from when they announced it that I had a sliver of hope that they could manage their time and just release the game. I'll try to keep my hopes up that it actually comes out in the first half of 2020. Not even going to worry about the April release date until we get to April without it being delayed again.

Not that it matters. With this move there's no chance I pick it up Day 1 anyways. Going to be far too busy with Persona 5.
