A special collection of the soundtrack from the original game and from the upcoming remake set for a January 31st 2020 release.
https://youtu.be/W8D87l_4ybw Now all we need is a trailer with One-Winged Angel playing in the background, and we’re all set.

They released a playthrough of the Demo!
There is also an IGN version of it, however there the "journalists" thought their commentary had higher priority than the ingame soundeffects/dialogue/OST, so I wouldn't recommend that one.

Sweet though it may be, I do have a complaint to make...Tifa's attacks are all over the place - from a straight punch and a low kick, she's pulling off flip heel drops and 360s? It may sound like a stupid thing to say, but it doesn't feel realistic. OTOH Aerith and Cloud's moves flow more naturally.
The overall combat feel draws from FFXIII, but at least in this case you have a lot to DO in a battle. The summon mechanics seem pretty good, although timing a HEAT break along with a dismissal attack is exploitable for massive damage. |

Well considering the original FF7 depicted the team tanking a literal Supernova to the face for percent based damage.... I don't think realism is a huge factor here. I'm sure veterans of the original game can remember several other physics breaking things.
RPGs in general have a certain level of suspension of disbelief to them. Especially those World Destroying spells you see sometimes in battles.

Tifa's got too many hits in her autos, a total of nine attacks in four seconds - and one of those seconds is a pause for an axe flip. It takes away from the game's feeling the same way that Code:Vein's attacks in the early videos had no gravity behind them. |

Sigh, I wish this news was less disappointing. It wasn't impossible, but I really hoped they'd avoid delays. They threw the release date so far from when they announced it that I had a sliver of hope that they could manage their time and just release the game. I'll try to keep my hopes up that it actually comes out in the first half of 2020. Not even going to worry about the April release date until we get to April without it being delayed again.
Not that it matters. With this move there's no chance I pick it up Day 1 anyways. Going to be far too busy with Persona 5.
