So it turns out not only will the Titans from the Titanverse tv series will be appearing in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover but Lucifer Morningstar from the Lucifer TV show will appear as well!

Unless there's been a twist since I read that news yesterday (which could totally have happened), Lucifer's actor himself denied he would be in the cross-over.

Anyway, this cross-over is definitely looking massive. It will take ages for the movie universe to reach such a point.

I assume that's Superboy/Superman Prime? Kind of a shame they seem to be ignoring that part of the comics' storyline. Unless they're keeping it a secret, that is.

I'm pretty hyped for the upcoming Superman & Lois TV series. The title reminds me of the 90s Superman series and I have fond memories of it. I don't watch Supergirl, but hasn't it already borrowed a lot of storylines from Superman though? I know Brainiac and Martian Manhunter are in it.

If only they could make a Batman series too, but that's super unlikely with Batwoman just starting.

There were probably tons of references I missed during this part.

I didn't know Erica Durance had a role in Supergirl (and as Kara's mother to boot), that's going to make the meeting with Smallville's Lois really awkward. I'm looking forward to Ray meeting Kingdom Come Superman more though.

Oliver saved a billion lives? Yeah, gonna call bullshit on that. All he did was shoot a few ghosts and there were thousands if not millions (assuming the phenomenon was worldwide) of them. Had nothing to do with the tower either since it had already stopped working.

And I guess I'll post it here since there's not much point in making a dedicated thread and it's technically DC: the last episode of Watchmen was absolutely brilliant. They got Dr. Manhattan perfectly right.

The two episodes already aired are pretty cool, in my opinion. Brandon Routh's Superman was freakin' awesome (that music? DAMN!). Too bad Tom Welling had such a short time on screen, but whatever we got was cool, anyway.

Honestly, I didn't think this was gonna be as good as it has been, so far.

I liked this episode so much I'm not sure which scene I enjoyed the most.

Although I dropped Smallville after season five or so and only came back for the last season, seeing Tom Welling as Clark again was a blast. I have mixed feelings about him giving up his powers while Lex is still active (and the President to boot) though. I feel like he would have settled things with him before doing that, unless Lex somehow turned out good. Still happy he got a good ending.

What they did with Batman was really great. They had us believe he was one of the Paragon so you kind of expected him to be close to Batman Beyond Batman, but he was actually a Batman that went over the edge and turned into a monster. The reveal he had killed Superman was pretty awesome. I assume he's based on an existing comic story, anyone know which one?

Brandon Routh as Clark/Superman is still excellent. He hasn't lost his touch.

Sara saying she promised the team they wouldn't do another crossover got a chuckle out of me, but then I remembered what happened in the last crossover they were a part of.

I've read it a long time ago, but Batman isn't a murderous psychopath in this, just a jaded old vigilante. He spares Superman at the end, and in fact doesn't kill anybody over the course of the story as far as I can remember.

Are there really no stories where Batman breaks his code and becomes completely out of control? (last episode of Titans season 1 had this, but it was just a dream)

Wel,, there's Batman from Frank Miller's All Star Batman & Robin. The problem is that it's written not by the good Frank Miller of old, but by the crazy old man Frank Miller of today. So there's Batman killing criminals, killing cops, kidnapping Dick Grason, Age Twelve on the night his parents were killed, forcing him to become a Robin and feeding him rats, and having sex with Black Canary under the rain.... next to the criminals burining alive.
He is still treated as a good guy there, BTW.

As for the crisis - Brandon Routh's Superman really needs ore screentime. He is absolutely awesome.

P.S. I guess he was way too good to stay, so replaced him with Lex for a final battle. Figures....

Not as good as the previous episode. Hated Brandon Routh Superman getting replaced by Luthor, who I find really obnoxious, and not in a good way. He was also the only Paragon that isn't from one of the five shows so he brought something new to the table.

Paragon detector sure is handy. How did they even build it? Even assuming they used Supergirl's unique signature as a Paragon or whatever to find the others, it's a big stretch that it could identify what they each represented. It's a minor detail, but that's something that could have been done better.

That sounds hilariously edgy. Most WTF part is him being treated like a good guy.
