I'm loving the action and fight scenes, even though I learned from Reddit that the triple kick last week was actually better than the animated one.

Still, everything is looking fluid as it is. Plotwise it does look thin, but there's that mysterious religious group running in the background. Now, I'd like to know the origin story of glasses guy with that psychopath personality and crazy Susano like power. And can I argue in favor of the technical win? Jin knocked glasses guy down after taking off his glasses. That should have ended it, right? He was so fast we didn't even see his approach.

Judging by everyone's reactions, Glasses using his stand was the first time someone used superpowers in this series. I actually thought Daewi used superpowers earlier as well.

Jin is fun but I ended up disappointed by his fight scene. Are the writers trying to "nerf" him in order for a big reveal of his fighting style?

And the protagonist has a problem with glasses, of all things?

They cut a bit out like him just mercilessly pummeling Q and Q insta-killing him, but otherwise that's all that happened.

The first episode gave me an impression that someone has a magical super-powered palm skill like the Buddha in Journey to the West who defeated the Monkey King. But I didn't expect characters to vomit a Stand . There are differences .

No, I remember that. I knew there'd be superpowers, and I assumed they had already been used in the tournament, so what I found odd was the characters being surprised by the stand. I thought most of them had superpowers as well.

I should have said first time in the tournament rather than the series.

The animation is very good and the slim plot doesn't really bother me, so far. Really enjoying this one.

They have super fighting powers which they think of as normal. Not stands.

Superhuman abilities seem to be pretty natural, it's supernatural ones like the stand that aren't really known to the public.

Agreed. Now if there was a scene at the start where a giant stand attacked the island then sure I'll take the hit on there being no reason to be surprised by a stand . There's magical powers and then there's what we saw in this one.

On a side note have we covered what was up with Jin and that guy's glasses? He didn't want to fight the official with glasses, but he wants to fight Mira...who wears glasses ? Was he planning on telling her to take off her glasses that she clearly needs to see before they fight?

I think the guy with glasses doesn't need them and jin realized that and wanted him to take them off to fight seriously.

Episode 4 is up. I kinda lol'd at the idea of Mira getting married. She doesn't seem like the type especially at her age right now but she has her reasons. That wedding dress looks nice on her though. And her husband was suspicious from the start...

My favorite part of the episode is probably when Jin and Han came to take care of some business.

At least Mira made the right decision after all that. Fight was short as hell..I blinked and it was over.

I thought the would be husband was a fraud and actually weak as shit, but he was part of the cult and even had a stand (which was completely useless since it didn't protect him).

The ending was a real punch to the gut.
