to put it more simple:
- Equalily = Equal results, Everyone got the exact same result. Basically, Same ending point.
- Fairness = Equal Chance, Everyone have the same starting point, but the ending point is change depend on each person's effort and ability.

Basically, 1 is refer to results, while the other refer to chance.

they still keeping equality which means the quints have same chance but with more openess than before, as we knew the incident last night made it looked like as if ichika had been sneaky behind without miku's consent, so miku added some rule "fairness" since they both, miku and ichika knew each other what they want (futarou).

yeah, yotsuba said that she loves him is real, it's just mc being mc who can't trust for it being real.
all of quints, i think yotsuba is a dangerous one, more open about her feeling, she might be a genkii girl, but behind it she already make a plan to steal futarou..lol

yeah..author made it clear for itsuki's, he just make use of miku as a bait though, but what's more cruel is author ignoring yotsuba's development as joke though.

but i think it would more interesting after miku's declaration, i hope the girls start to make move, especially nino.

Great... I just caught up with this, and Itsuki being my least favorite gets another privilege.
Should I follow this weekly to get butthurt for a potential upset or make the wise decision to put it on hold and come back if the winner is clearly decided? Becoming butthurt is a part of the genre, but since I never really did the latter, maybe it's about time. Or would it ruin the experience?

I honestly thought the last chapter had them backtracking on 'fairness vs equality', since Miku wanted Fuutarou have a 'flower in each hand' during the bonfire. So I didn't want to celebrate then yet, but this chapter proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt... that this will NOT go for a 'true harem' ending.

So yeah, as a shipper, I FUCKING LOVE THIS MANGA!

As for the childhood friend, I honestly thought Nino was feigning amnesia the first time she saw the picture, but at this point it seems she is TOTALLY clueless and she unironically likes the kid because she's her 'type', and not because she knows him from before. As such, I'm going with Yotsuba since she was the only one nice in the beginning, and this theory holds wieght if you think the girl remembers and recognizes current Fuu is the same as the delinquent kid.

But if you think the girl can't recognize Fuu just like Fuu can't recognize the girl as one of the quints, then the only one that has a hint is Itsuki, because she is focused into studying as Fuu is (and we all know Fuu's obsession with studying is because of his childhood friend, so there's a high chance of it being reciprocated). I mean sure, any of the girls bar Nino can still be the childhood friend, but Itsuki does have that one hint she holds over the other girls. And going by the "Uesugi-kun" part of the skiing chapter, I think the author isn't averse to laying actual foreshadowing hints rather than red herring us all the way. XD

The only flaw of this manga is that it takes Monogatari Style of "No one exists in this world except main characters"

I don't remember any female characters aside from the quints and imouto

In Bokuben, each heroine has friends and they are memorable enough
