Miki most likely knew even before the event, he was going to get a lot of backlash and hate from the fans. He also knows the Index fans will not be fooled by the same trick again. He also knows they will not forgive him so easily. I can't see him breaking the fans heart's like this again. I know Miki should not get all the blame. But, the fans will put most of the blame on to him ):. Quote:

They're not going to troll us again. They aren't evil. They know the fanbase wants Index III, so they're trying to make it happen. It's easy to say that we're getting trolled when you don't really care about getting it either way. But for others of us who actually care, there's no point in not believing it will happen. We just won't put all of our eggs in one basket so we get closer to Nash Equilibrium.

It's trolling regardless of whether you care about getting it or not. Your level of care does not change how they hyped the event, with what IP they used to hype all this, and what the eventual outcome was. Literally the only thing missing is a trolldad.png.

Thinking positively, at the very least they're still doing something with the franchise to place it in the spotlight in one way or another instead of putting it completely on ice like so many others (eg. Horizon).
I'll take all the trolling and teasing over NOTHING at all. |

I liked DRRR!!'s 10th anniversary. We got a season 2. Simple. Why not here, ASCII!?
Well, if you're interested in what Miki said at the stage event and supposedly in the stream... At the end of the stage event he said: 『とある』の3期じゃなくてごめんなさい。『ヘヴィーオブジェクト』もおもしろいから応援よろしくお願いし ます!」 "I'm sorry it's not Season 3, but Heavy Object is also interesting. Please look forward to it!" <- Something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, still learning. http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/938/938201/ Then on the Dengeki stream after: 「禁書・鎌池和馬10大発表も無事終わりましたが、今後もでかい発表があります」 左、3期の話全くしてないとき 右、三木さん「来年の…来年はムリカナ…? 頑張ります!!」 https://twitter.com/yarare_kanrinin/...84145292021760 https://twitter.com/FreeUnknowngod/s...87143367933952 Up to your interpretation though yeah he was addressing Index fans. |

But yeah. If they plan to "finish" DRRR then they're not against splitting. I'd be OK with it. Interesting strategy, but I guess its a lot more feasible than straight 30+ episodes nowadays? |
