Best to look at it this way. When it's March, worry about it then. For now everything remains the same for better or worse.

Index III is still not in production. Earliest is probably 2016. Next year is HO.
That's not exactly how it works.

Yeah. Kamachi can handle so many things at once and next year he doesn't have to handle all the 10th anniversary stuff so he'd have more time to help check ideas for two anime adaptations at once.

@Dr.Casey: it still stings. I'm still realizing it was not a bad dream.

That ANN article certainly gives more credibility to Miki's words. Cautious optimism is the phrase I will continuously to describe my feelings about this.

I'm with you on that. Yaraon writer puts his eggs in one basket. He believes one more time.

Eh. Kamachi isn't doing the animation or production dniv. So the author's god like status won't help. Look at Shana. At least here. The staff are baiting the fan son when they decide to animate it. There would be viewers. Shana was forgotten because it lacks the promotion index have and when Shana final was animated. The sales isn't up to the previews season.

Its actually a good merchandising move. They bait to fans so index won't be forgotten.

Y'all gonna get trolled again. How many times does the rug have to get pulled out from under you before you stop walking onto the rug?

I just want to make one thing clear. When Miki said sorry to all the Index fans and said to wait next year for more news. He did mean the Index fans to wait for the news? If so, there is stil hope.

Miki most likely knew even before the event, he was going to get a lot of backlash and hate from the fans.

He also knows the Index fans will not be fooled by the same trick again. He also knows they will not forgive him so easily.

I can't see him breaking the fans heart's like this again.

I know Miki should not get all the blame. But, the fans will put most of the blame on to him ):.

It was a good move, but it was also a dirty one at that. See what upset the fans was not just because there was no Index III. It was because they built-up the fans so much with playing all the OP'S and the place being filled with posters. It's no wonder they went mad at them. I still think it was a sick of them to hurt fans like that ):.

They're not going to troll us again. They aren't evil. They know the fanbase wants Index III, so they're trying to make it happen. It's easy to say that we're getting trolled when you don't really care about getting it either way. But for others of us who actually care, there's no point in not believing it will happen. We just won't put all of our eggs in one basket so we get closer to Nash Equilibrium.

It's trolling regardless of whether you care about getting it or not. Your level of care does not change how they hyped the event, with what IP they used to hype all this, and what the eventual outcome was. Literally the only thing missing is a trolldad.png.

Thinking positively, at the very least they're still doing something with the franchise to place it in the spotlight in one way or another instead of putting it completely on ice like so many others (eg. Horizon).

I'll take all the trolling and teasing over NOTHING at all.

I liked DRRR!!'s 10th anniversary. We got a season 2. Simple. Why not here, ASCII!?

Well, if you're interested in what Miki said at the stage event and supposedly in the stream...
At the end of the stage event he said:
『とある』の3期じゃなくてごめんなさい。『ヘヴィーオブジェクト』もおもしろいから応援よろしくお願いし ます!」
"I'm sorry it's not Season 3, but Heavy Object is also interesting. Please look forward to it!" <- Something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, still learning.
http://dengekionline.com/elem/000/000/938/938201/

Then on the Dengeki stream after:

「禁書・鎌池和馬10大発表も無事終わりましたが、今後もでかい発表があります」

左、3期の話全くしてないとき
右、三木さん「来年の…来年はムリカナ…? 頑張ります!!」
https://twitter.com/yarare_kanrinin/...84145292021760
https://twitter.com/FreeUnknowngod/s...87143367933952

Up to your interpretation though yeah he was addressing Index fans.

On the brightside, DRRR2 confirmed that it's not impossible to have a 3 cour season.

That's just about the right amount to finish up the remaining volumes of Old Testament.

Been curious, does Kadokawa/ASCII determine the cours in a season, too?

But yeah. If they plan to "finish" DRRR then they're not against splitting. I'd be OK with it. Interesting strategy, but I guess its a lot more feasible than straight 30+ episodes nowadays?
