Well, although his feeling toward Hiiro is more like a "respect to aniki?", I think he counted as one due to...several suggestive blushing. also FYI, he is considered as one with the highest female charm and stand number #1 on Character poll (or was it big 3?)

Not surprised with that. I'm just after the part where they first meet and part way and it's really evident that the author push him hard to MC, more than any character, man or woman/loli before.

Yeah, the plot practically move without him (warning: there are not few POV change, which can be quite annoying at time).

This is same author as Souen no Historia btw, it move a bit faster than Soumen though.

Nah, the novel doesn't necessarily soften things, and it's obvious what the big picture after a few chapters on.... It's been a long while, but for what I remember :

- Hiro basically has big "fate" and also big "freedom", thus huge potential.
- The so called "mazoku menace" is partially a misunderstanding, while there are some activist on that side, the Maoh actually wants peace.
- The Maoh has sent many cease of fire propals, but they haven't been heeded since they are probably thought of as a trap.
- The Maoh has mused that peace can't be achieved unless "someone" connects the 3 races and actual relationships with each other can flourish.
- When meeting beast-men, Hiro pointed out that race differences don't mean zinch to him.

.... As smooth as a chainsaw, right? Pretty obvious there is a grand scheme for things.

I'm not thinking on another series, right?

Other stuff that gets revealed early :

- Hiro is the type that likes to be left to his own devices, and doesn't go out of his way to interact with people.
- He is the type that sleeps, or dazzles, or skips class without a care in the world..... But gets perfect scores every time (probably has knowledge due to his book maniac attribute).
- Apparently one of the girls on the Yuusha harem felt a little bit of rivalry with him (I'm guessing that she is the diligent studious type, and felt frustrated at not out-doing him with his slacker attitude). No hint at romance there, though.



...... I wonder if the princess is gonna fall for Hiro (Is she young enough to rank into the harem? )

There probably is if not his existence is meaningless. Just that it doesn't happen early, like it's not happening in the first 100 chapter (dunno after that). Yes this is clearly the same author as Soumen no Historia.

Edit: Oh but I dunno if the author made any adjustment to LN version, I don't think what he/she's doing in WN would fly well with LN demographic.
