Well with a good partition 24 episodes is enough(though some in-depth details will be cut, which is the same things happen to almost of the anime from light novel adaptation.)

They have the license for the first season, but did they also announce the license for the second? I don't recall... (It looks like I only thought it was season 1 when I made the License thread at the time, but maybe I missed something.)

Yes, they only licensed season 1. Note that they didn't mention season 2 here. If they had licensed it, they would have mentioned it here.. Besides, I suppose they would want to see how season 1 does in America before they decide whether they want to license season 2, these are money issues here.
