I think of it as an intelligently silly series. Making sense is overrated. I love the absurdity of what's going on in this show. I just realized today that this is actually one of my favorite shows of the season. Who'd have thought it?
EDIT: I just posted a characters/seiyuus page for this show, with pics of ten characters and their seiyuus. We've been enjoying Sakurai Takahiro and Inoue Marina, along with Asumi Kana (Madoka) and the great (really!) Itou Shizuka (crazy editrix). Keep an eye out for young Serizawa Yuu as the singer Maxi, and also for Saitou Chiwa and Uchida Maaya.

WTF?! Just how much must've copyright lobby brainwashed poor Kazuhito to make him *destroy* the books of his favorite authors instead of sharing them with others and giving them a chance to become Akiyama Shinobu's fans - all for the sake of their "royalties"!
If he really wanted to support his beloved author financially, he should've sold those books and mailed the money earned directly to her - giving her an equivalent of royalties from 20+ books sold (as almost nothing from the enormous prices actually makes it to the author)... |

This show just got a whole lot sillier. Scissors that can cut anything, an editor that is the biggest masochist money can buy and a girl who buys an electric knife/chainsaw/cannon hybrid from a mailorder. I feel sorry for all who take this show seriously.
I'm liking it, though, a good mindless fun show is always good to have.

Chapter 2. Strike while the Dog is Hot
The key to enjoy this show to the fullest is not to expect at all taking it seriously.
I do admit that sometimes I was put off by the nonsensical silliness in the first episode. But watching Natsuno openly showing her feelings to Dog after Dog talked sense on her, I felt mellow to her. So, she isn't anymore of a deliberate sadist, but more of a creepy nonsensical girl whose very wary about her cup size. "Sometimes, the more you like someone the more you like to torment them". |

NATSUNO I LOVE YOU SADIST-CHAN
That last episode was hilarious. I laughed so hard at Genocide Mode, that mode truly obliterates ingredients The editor girl is hilarious too, I fully acknowledge she's M to the core maybe it's because it's Natsuno, but editor-chan sure knows what she likes Quote:

Chapter 3. The Winter Dog Flies into the Fire
So, I get to know the crazy and masochist editor of Akiyama Shinobu's.
Jeez, she's gotten more loose bolts in her head than I thought, and that smile that gives off the impression of letting out drool is gross; more gross is her fetish to be cut by Natsuno. Weirder, however, that Kazu's captor turned out to be none other than his former younger sister. |
