Some things to note from the small amount of footage we have:
There's an assist system, probably similar to Aquapazza. Said assist system contains the ability to cancel an attack into an assist's for 1 meter. There seems to be a fairly quick automatic meter generation, but with a large cooldown once you use something that requires spending. The icons above meter seem to be consumed for a buff (such as BB's Overdrive or KoF's HDM). |

No character is too powerful for game balance.
Dissidia has Exdeath: one of the most powerful characters in all of fiction. Come to think of it; I have the Index fighting game, and they already have Accelerator there.

I doubt there'll be many Sega Characters, if at all, simply because of the fact that they're not really advertising it as a Dengeki/Sega crossover: The title card only displays the Dengeki logo, and I don't think the Valkyria Chronicles stage was mentioned within the article ("don't think" because I don't know Japanese orz). If it really was intended to be a major crossover involving the two, I believe they would have made it far more visible.

You have to remember that Sega also develops the RingEdge(2) arcade cabinets that are widespread in Japan, so their name will be on the game regardless of whether they have a hand in the game's development or not. Melty Blood Actress Again is one example of this.

Why does power level even matter for deciding which character gets in? Plenty of crossovers have characters that are OP as hell in their medium but then get their ass handed to them in a crossover. Hell Galactus one of the stronger characters from one of the strongest if not strongest series got his ass handed to him in Marvel vs Capcom.
If developers want to show how strong a character is make him/her/it strong gameplay wise or make it so his storyline features lots of "I let you win" cases there's no reason to leave him/her/it out. Quote:
Plenty of moves possible for him. IMO he should be the "difficult but awesome" type of character that hard to master but op once you do master it. edit: Also fuck Misaka. Misaki master race. |

They should really make a "Light Novel Colosseum" fighting game. Similar to a SNK Colosseum game if you're familiar with it.
It's a game where famous SNK characters duke out each other in a tag-team match setting. I think something like that is alright, right? We could see matches like: Silver Crow V.S. Ise/Sekiryutei Kirito V.S. Kusanagi Godou Layfon V.S. Akatsuki Touma V.S. Shiba Tatsuya Itsuka Shidou V.S. Kazehaya Kamito Orimura Ichika V.S. Sakamaki Izayoi And more LN rooster to face off. Something like that. But if they are going for such project, they need to make this game, Fighting Climax, a success first. |
