This first episode was kind of "meh". I didn't laugh at anything and felt like I've seen it before, but it's not really that bad. Just kind of average, like what you'd expect from something like this.

And I agree with what most people are saying. Doing things in private is one thing, doing them in public is another.

I was mildly entertained by this but it's more because of Aito's over-the-top antics. The full complement isn't here yet and that kind of halves the enjoyment, at least for me.

Aito is the typical protagonist of Hiroyuki's manga. If you want to compare Aito to that knife wielding nerd who says "The Cat is fine, too", Aito's character is plain. However, he is still that type of guy who talks low as if it is a common sense.

By the way, Aito is his last name. His first name is Yuki, and it's a rare first name. Another time an anime character has this first name is Cross Day. Aito's reason of name is Ai(love)to and Yuki(courage) mangaka. It takes courage to express his special love.

I wonder how much of Aito is self-insert? He seems to have a full course of otaku mannerisms (sans a complete lack of social skills), which is not that common in Hiroyuki's works.

I've enjoyed the bit of the manga I've read. I sort of enjoyed ep1. But ep2 left me completely cold: nothing either amusing or interesting for me at all. We'll see how I do with ep3.
