The Hackatsuki

I'm new to Gundam Seed Destiny, just finished watching it, but I thought the Akatsuki Gundam was pretty cool, although it couldn't be docked by a METEOR like Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice... but why is everyone calling the Akatsuki Hackatsuki? Is it because its dragons can protect other spacecraft??

And I'm a Gundam noob because I only started watching from Gundam Seed

It's because it turned a terrible MS pilot Neo..into a god...It kitbashed Nu Gundam (CCA) and Hyaku Shiki (Zeta) and wh()red every move that those 2 do...The Gundam is so overpowered that it would have beaten PROVIDENCE no sweat last series (the same mech that took FREEDOM to it's limits)...It deflects every beam, including positron beams and even gamma rays of Neo Genesis (Which is as gay as it gets)...It magically had funnels and was built for a Natural (who by Gundam standards can't freely operate funnels)...the suit is a hack, thus it's .//hackatsuki...

Ouch... I guess the Akatsuki should never be docked with Meteor then...

If it ever docked with METEOR, just run the end credits before it even launches cause the series would definatley be over...

That's a model kit that would make you blush...

Errr, WD, a beam deflecting MS would beat a beam-spamming one such as providence and legend, right? Add to this fact that Uzumi if he designed that DRAGOON system for Cagalli would need to make it easily operable by a natural, we're looking at better-than-legend-OS here, and Legend is a very new MS.

The hackatsuki did not deflect gamma rays. The most it thxed was Minerva's positron cannon which also Mwu'd Neo.

Expect a positron beam is nothing like normal beam weapons. The positron beam should have ripped Akatsuki apart at a subatomic level, literally, obliterating it.

I love how this mobile suit is able to block a positron cannon yet is vulnerable to Destiny's simple little sword.

Here, it's going to depend on how Akatsuki managed the feat, was it a reflection of pure power, or did it exert a magnetic field to disrupt the positrons, or is it simply a peculiar property of its armor?

Part of this is going to depend on the properties of the Tannhauser (and positron cannons in general). I've never seen any specs. of this nature, so I would be happy if someone can supply them.

Note that a positron cannon is very different from a beam sword. They operate in different ways, and a defence that is successful against one can quite easily be unsuccessful against the other.

Honestly, I don't know if Akatsuiki can dock with Meteor.

I mean, it does leave one to question, Since with one of the Meteor model kits, Included with it is a strike freedom, infinite justice AND a Akatsuki.

Ah yes, but applying logic wouldn't be consistant with the rest of the events in GSD

Positron would have also ripped Muu apart at the atomic level.

If a man with no beam shield can survive, then shit....How crappy are those positrony cannons?

Did you think that perhaps all of Akatsuki's armor is coated with an INTENSELY packed I-field? Meaning weaker to melee, but still thxing beams. Also, the reason the hackatsuki blocked the positron cannon is that it was logically IMPOSSIBLE for any MS to survive that let alone come out unscathed.

BUT WHO WAS PILOTING IT?!

THE MAN WHO MAKES THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE!
