Wein is more a fun take on foreigners than anything.

Also the last two episodes have shown us quite a good father figure when Ohana's father was completely absent in HSI.

They need to stop feeding that cat so much...

Episode 6 was brilliant. One thing I noticed is that the whole episode felt saturated with moe in the good sense; just every interaction was adorable, what with Wakana trying to handle the baby and interacting with her dad.

It has that feel good type of atmosphere without being cheesy or super melodrama ano hana style, but just has a solid form of storytelling. It's not going to win any awards for originality, but it sure made it easy to really feel for the characters' situations and the catharsis was paced extremely well. It was also great to see her lighten up a bit more instead of trying to do things right. Music is supposed to flow, and not be so rigid.

And so we can move on to greater things.

A little late in watching episode 6.

Spoiler:

Tari Tari is certainly one of my favorite anime for this year.

Also caught up on Tari Tari to ep 6 last night.

This series is becoming better than I had anticipated - which is nice to see. I like it's "light touch" (at least that is how it comes across to me) esp in matters of sadness. It was light, yes, but also convincing in a ... err ... almost quiet, shy way. Hard for me to describe....

It is correct that comparisons to other shows are only allowed in this thread when they are relevant and on-topic, as is explained by the Spoiler Policy. In addition, these sorts of comparisons require properly-labelled spoiler tags, because not everyone will have seen the other show in question.

To all: please avoid going off-topic in this thread going forward. If you are going to compare to any show (and that includes any and all previous P.A.Works shows), you must use properly-labelled spoiler tags.

The ending song is becoming one of my favorites. It's so nice.

I was reading back at the thread and saw your post. I didn't realize Wien's friend is from Austria and his friend is speaking German. Thanks for the info.

I loved this episode ( episode 6). It made me cry .

Just a question came up though. The song at the end of episode 2 and 6 were the same right?

So basically that's a song Wakana's mom wrote right? In episode two we have Konatsu finding the music sheet , which i think we can safely assume that was done by Wakana's mom ( based on the flash back).
So can we assume the song it self was written in the music sheet that was found by konatsu in episode 2?

As for Tari Tari, i personally love it. A combination of music, cuteness, great voice actors, touching story and more ... .

I see, thanks . Although the above three i think are screen caps from the episode 6, i hadn't seen your first two pics before and they were both very cute .

Thanks for sharing them here *_*.

Those pics have something wrong. Sawa is not buttslapping Konatsu.

Nevertheless, good finds. I love the one in the train, and the one where Konatsu is learning to ride.

Sawa does indeed have impeccable fashion sense. Kudos to the character designers and artists for always giving her great-looking clothes.

I was surprised by her right from the start. She wears a nice dress so casually when she went with Konatsu on episode 1, and looks good in them too.

Fixed.

I'm still bummed this series is the 2nd worst looking PA show after Another (reject Hanasaku Iroha backgrounds and character designs), yet being better than that series in every other way bar Ohana.

Seriously, the character designs look pretty bad imo .

Well, I do greatly prefer True Tears' character designs, and HSI's are a bit better. Tari Tari's character designs lack the complexity (particularly with facial structure) that True Tears and HSI had. This is why it took me awhile to tell Sawa and Wakana apart, whereas I could instantly tell the difference between Nako and Minko (HSI) and there was vast differences between the three main girls of True Tears.

Still, Tari Tari's character designs have grown on me.

My issue is more with how the in between animation sometimes goes missing like in the small dance sequence in episode 5

Hmm ... well, that aspect of things does not bother me very much. I guess for me I go into a series with lower expectations/requirements for the visual side of things ... so unless it is amazingly jarring (like interchanging cgi sequences with "standard" animation styles) or the other elements of the series are so poor that they don't hold my interest and I began to notice "other" things (like visuals quality) then I usually don't notice the visuals side of things.

For me Tari Tari has been very engaging especially with it's characters and the story, but also with it's "gentle touch" - something I always appreciate seeing.
