About 7~ minutes of the episode I'd say.
But the episode was still pretty good regardless, and next week the Ginyu nonsense will be over and done with and we should go back to our filler-less series. And man I've always loved DBZ's battle poses and Freeza's here was a classic: Spoiler:

Damn you have to admit Freeza does get pretty cool poses. Makes sense why Ginyu wanted to work for him .
A pretty good episode even with the Ginyu stuff. Glad that will be done next week. Really hit home the desperation of the situation; both with Goku shocked by Freeza's power and the fact he was helpless even using 10x Kaioken

When watching the episode, you can see that it would have been hard to do without all the Ginyu frog stuff, so i can understand why it's there. They really had no choice in the matter.
Seriously can't wait for next weeks episode. 20x Kaoiken is so awesome.

its not so big filler. it makes you wonder where ginyu ended, and, what bulma did. it's ok. oh, and, in Manga, bulma says, when freeza arives with father - i did not see him on Namek, i wanna see this Freeza, and if you say he is strong, what's the point of hiding ?
anyway, it shows us that the "soul" exists in DB universe, and, that a body can be controled when one knows how to do it (flipping in air, by Ginyu in bulma's body) |

I wanted to wait until there were a good amount of eps out before I started re-watching so I could pick and choice what I wanna watch, but to my dismay I don’t see much if any new material (Like what’s shown in the OP)…It all looks pretty much the same with some scenes looking even grainer than I remember…Where the heck are all the newly animated or re-animated scenes?? I re-watched Goku vs. Vegeta pt. 1 and was like where’s the new $hit?
Am I missing something?

I wouldn't say it like that. Kai for me has been one hell of a treat one episode after another, being the adaptation that we manga fans have wanted to see for so long now. It's a huge treat, and seriously enjoyable. Especially in the later stages once you make it to Namek. I'm sure you'll see for yourself if you're still planning to watch it.

^I’m an old school DBZ head, like super $hitty looking imported VHS tape of Gohan beating Cell head…I have every episode on VHS and DVD unedited, so my whole charge for watching this was looking for new scenes or re-animated scenes…I can FF>> my DVD or tape if I just wanna get to the parts I like the most…Additionally the DVD eps look superior to the eps of Kai I’ve snagged…Just kinda disappointed, but I’m glad people are still enjoying it…I missed the boat on this one, to think I’ve been biding my time just to watch this again thinking new stuff was gonna be apart of the equation…I’ve been waiting longer than a 5 minute Planet Namek explosion to watch this^^…Oh well…

Anyone listened to the second soundtrack yet? It pretty much covers the score upto where we are now, so i'm very pleased. My favorite tracks, easily would be tracks 14, 27, 28 and 30.
