I read somewhere that the director for the anime says the DVD/Bluray will have extended scenes. I don't know if it's due to budget/time/incentive for fans to buy the DVDs, but I'm wondering if we'll actually see the two unnamed office ladies from the ED and more on Kanbe and Lilac's relationship in the home release.

The girl in the ED is obviously that other girl in the guild right? |

To me, this anime turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise, much more than what I had originally expected.
My initial impression of the show was meh until I realized what this anime was going for. Some minor pacing issues aside, I really liked how they developed Moriko and Sakurai's relationship. Their characters are really likable once you understand them as the episodes progressed. The finale was alright. Not exceptional but it got its point across well. Do note that there's still one more OVA episode (CR streams it next week). Episode 10 met my expectations overall as it retained the charming character chemistry between Moriko and Sakurai from start to finish. They still had some MMO gimmicks added in to remind us the themes of the show. 8/10.

Haven't come here until today, to see if anyone had make comparisons with the Manga or something. Guess not.
But the big number of chapters sure makes it seem there's more plot than the Anime showed. Then, I read about the author having gone missing. It usually sucks when a story is left in a limbo. Went to check her blog, and it seems the author's health was the reason for having gone missing. It sucks even more. Last edited by RDNexus; 2017-12-08 at 20:08. |

*facepalm* For a MMORPG gamer Sakurai has a prebuilt PC and it looks to be a budget PC. This is a guy who's willing to throw tons of cash into the microtransaction to get the stuff he wants yet skimp out on his machine. For shame!
On the other hand, Mori goes all in on her beast of a machine with the keyboards, mouse, monitors and the whole sha bang. Morioka needs to give Sakurai some lessons on properly gaming investments.

Aawwww. This was so cute. It was a bit slow in places, but that botched confession scene was awesome (I kept rewatching it just to hear Sakurai's little "kii.....") and the awkwardness at the hand-holding was just the best. And Moriko talking to the dryer was adorable.
In general, this show was so cute and in many ways so relatable, a delightful little surprise that I almost passed over. Sure, there were some pacing issues, but overall it was something that brightened up my Friday evenings. I don't think I even need more story - this show is fine just the way it is. (Also, Noto Mamiko and Sakurai Takahiro are awesome but we knew that already.) |

This show just kind of faded out at the end of the tenth episode, but it remained cute till the end, and that's what counts. This show is like the kind of flowers that fill the whole room with sweetness. I wish there was more of it, but it was good while it lasted.
Most fun this time was the talking dryer. Now I kind of imagine Morioka-san will move in with Sakurai-san eventually and have conversations with his household goods... I guess Morioka-san spends so much on her computers that she can't afford other high-tech stuff, while with Sakurai-san it is the other way around. So many interesting side characters that just faded away too. Health problems and authors is a most unfortunate combination. But I am glad we got this little glimpse into their universe. |

Geez, these guys are supposed to be adults right?
Well, it was cute so I don't mind. Which really, is my opinion of the anime in general. Quote:

Fruits de Mer looks like a default free-to-play MMORPG. Add to it that east Asian MMORPGs often tend to be technically less demanding than western ones - often they favour cutesy/colourful graphics over any attempt at realism or such - and I don't see why it shouldn't work. I played Rift, Elder Scrolls Online and now am playing Guild Wars 2, all on a laptop. A high-end one, yeah, but still.

I really really liked it. My only complaint is that it could be longer, exploring not only the relationship between the two main characters but also with the other guild members (who, by the way, would need a bit of more screentime)
This last episode was very sweet, their interactions really cute, although I wanted to see them coming across Kanbe Looking forward to the OVA |
