2nd episode with the Kiss' AND the revelation that Toa is a dragon...well, that pretty much sped up the interest factor for me in this series. It's a keeper.

ep3 was really cool,
went by extremely fast, felt like 5 minutes not like 20..

anyway the animation was way better then in ep2, and some cool things happened.
a totally great action filled ep, and beyond that there was some character development which is nice too.

Wow, major props to Shinsen for getting the Album thing right in the first episode. I thought it was Alwurm because it's pronounced the same as wurm in Lindwurm but it pops up as Album in ep 3. Nice going cyprene.

ep 3

So what was the first thing i thought when watching this ep? ZIODS! (man i remember when i used to love building them XD)

The animation was quite fluent and smooth i must say...they whole ep was just a huge free for all but like Jiyuu said it went rather quickly - time flies while youre having fun huh ^^

like i said the ep was a huge battle. At first toa fights the berserking dragon one on one where she was doing pretty well. but then the ISDA came into the fight with their dragons and thats where things starts to get messy.

Toa crash lands next to Jin during the fight but instead of him going to check up on her, he was rather being emo and backing treating toa like some kind of freak/monster. This really hurt toa and it becomes apparent from her facial expression (and i mean how i got that from her CG dragon form just shows the amount of detail - well at least gonzo is trying

).

As the fight continued we then have the awakening of Gio - MEWTWO STYLE! (that was the first thing that struck me - hahah pokemon ^^).

he then transforms into his dragon form and chases toa but while i though he was the "evil" dragon looking to kill toa - it turns out that he was actually intending to protect her. my jaw dropped. Jin manages to hitch a ride on Gio's back and he tries to touch toa while he flew besides her. Then we got a visualisation where toa says goodbye to Jin now that he has seen her true form. Another shock is that she then turns to Gio and they agree to go off together.

after that one of the IDSA came to break them up moving back to the battle and Gio falls into the sea whereas Toa flies off. Jin is safely let down by her "bubble" power but he will be going through another mental shock at this rate.

Kazuki on the other hand cannot be saved anymore. I am ready to mark him as the kind of emos for this series as he was shocked at Jin riding Gio. so shocked that he even said:

"Why...Gio is MINE...even so..."

I smell yaoi

another bit of interesting note it seems that we have a traitor on our hands. A higher up bald head guy known as "Mr Kill" is working for an "evil" organisation. but by this time the line between good and bad is horribly distorted so we will just have to wait and see ^^

it seems garnet is not what it seemed at first, i'm not really sure anymore about what exactly is she, i still thinks she's with the 'bad guys' but

the only "bad" thing i found in this ep is the dragon designs which i didn't really like, but maybe i'll get used to them, either that or they'll improve them :P..

oh and the commander seems to be a pretty important character,

The second episode was out of this dimension. The soundtrack was something that I could swear came from the arrangements and notes of John Williams; beautiful space opera nicely spiced with medieval-fantasy. It is memorable just as the music from Darker than Black.

One or two of my theories were proven true.

Whoa.. talk about original plot going on with episode 3. I never expected Gio to do what he actually did. Also I really didn't expect Toa to be the one who left. Is anyone as unlucky as Jin is in this show? I really am starting to feel for Jin.

Suzaku didn't love Lulu, he loves Yuffie. Athrun is a bisexual who has a harem of both genders. Kazuki on the other hand is a complete gay, even his dragon is a male

I dont think she's taking up with Gio, raher Gio is her protecter (which he says in the ep), and she thinks now Jin has seen what she really is he'll reject her. And rather than give him a chance to either reject or accept, she does a runner.

I'm guessing the bad dragon designs are done on purpose. If you look at Gio and Toa they're on a totaly different level from the others. I'm guessing it's to shoe that they (Toa and Gio) are real dragons where as the rest are are a hybraid of machine and cloning. Thats why they need some one to sit inside to pilot them. Toa and Gio dont seem to have a 'cockpit'.

We also can see why Kazuki hates Jin now, nothing to do with orders or any of that, its the age old and worn out jealousy gig. Cause Jin rode Gio, or rather Gio rescued Jin.

I had to watch that a few times i admit. My thinking on it is that failing to catch up he jumped off trying to reach Gio, Gio realised and rescued him, taking him to Toa. Otherwise i think he'd of probably thrown Jin off otherwise.

Episode 4 should be good, hopefully Gio and Jin will have a good conversation and get some of the past history sorted out and explained.

They were the three meteorite pieces that came from Thanatos which one, unfortunately, crashed with the shuttle's course. The big cast of characters know make sense to me. Spoiler: They are the dragonauts, and the other people with supernatural powers are, in fact, I presume to be dragons like Toa. They're the partners to the dragons. I am very excited and hyped to see how will Jin and Toa flourish their relationship? or how come they'll be able to grow strong their bond now that she was forced to reveal her dragon form to Jin? I am as well intrigued what affinity Toa found in Jin? and why is it that ISDA covets him much to "invite" (by use of force) to their side, while Toa explicitly warns Jin not to join forces with them? It was sad as well that Kazuki and Jin's friendship has been strained with the crossfire. Kazuki's honored to be part of the dragonauts and is sort of an idealistic type who follows as he's ordered to. Jin, on the other hand, have never ever had the warm contact of another person until he met with Toa. And, it was revealed that the monster from the previous episode was a dragon who lost its resonance with its dragonaut partner and turned back to its dragon form.

UPR Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Puerto Rico Age: 34	About ep3 Spoiler for Complain ep3: I just have to say I was very dissapointed at how Toa was willing to go with Gio. She just said let's go away together. And then going to grab his hand like that, that's real low. After all her talk and saying that Jin was not alone that she was there, she left him alone (again) pretty quickly. I know she was sad at how he reacted, but seriously who wouldn't act like that at first. She should also realize that he went after her and tried to be with her. Her going to grab Gio hand really made me want to hit something and say how stupid can you be. She really moves things quick, saying that they are together and then leaving him behind like nothing. I hope this does not turn into something were we are watcing for 20+ ep in them trying to find Toa because that will become boring really quick. And the draw at least for me to this series was the relationship between Toa and Jin. To cut it after 3ep would be surprising. Now that what I hope they don't do. Not, saying they will but I hope that next week that issue gets resolved. __________________

It's hot Those guys seem pretty gay towards each other, but then he hits it off with that girl. That relationship itself is pretty sudden and unexplained. Animation on dragons is pretty bad at some points, and they stay airborne unrealisticly.
