woo, first post. anyways this episode is when the fillers start correct?

Most likely the fillers will start at some point in this episode. Man it's a shame because I enjoyed the last episode and was hoping for the series to pick up again, hopefully the fillers won't be suicidal.

Like episode 54, the filler characters only appeared in the last minute of the show. Most of the episode covered canon material (about 25 pages total), taken from chapters 316, 317, 318 and 328.

Well, at least the fillers probably won't be as bad as in the first series. I hope.

With any luck, the fillers will only be the special, and then maybe one/two more episodes afterward. I'd really like to see it be only the special. Just when they start to pick up the pace of the story, they go back and slow it down with fillers...that's a bit annoying.

All in all, though, good episode. Glad to see the quality returning to Naruto.

Say did they change Konohamaru's voice back to the original voice in Naruto?

Looks like naruto is getting smarter with his Shadow Clones thats for sure lol Im looking forward to the fillers, probally less flashbacks. Well hopefully anyways

what is the point of the fillers. we are just making headway on the story and the nmanga is like lightyears ahed. so it does not need to wory about catching up?????

OMFG I just finally realized where I heard the new opening song from... Its a complete rip off of the opening theme music to the old playstation RPG Thousand Arms! I knew I heard it from somewhere >_>...

anyway, it seems like they're putting Naruto's training on hold for the fillers after all... meh..

I liked the episode. I still don't see the reason for fillers, but it was nice to see a character study of Asuma at the end. He's still one of my favorite jounins.

Spoiler for my take:

This episode actually had some character development that didn't put me to sleep. I like asuma's tip and how konohamaru grew up (he still is only catching cats) Kakashi is cool as always, and naruto can never be called lazy after what he went through. i give this episode 9/10 which is surprisingly high

It wasn't as good as the last episode, but it's still way better than the epic fillers before. If they cut down on the amount of screentime of those constipating Naruto's, then it would've been pretty much perfect. It also explained some things, I think. If I'm right, then because Shikamaru was made a Chuunin, the others in his team were also made Chuunins? In short, good episode. 7/10

wow another good episode. most mangas readers should realize that the anime team is trying to clean up after kishi by developing the other characters more. i'm more interested in the fillers than i am in the actual manga right now. hope they don't dissapoint me. I also like to congradualted them because the way the are putting the filler it won't really disrupt the story much. unlike the recent bleach filler which came out of nowhere

episode was pretty gewd
