I was thinking of throwing this sig in but, since I made it a while back...feel kind of guilty that I'm not making something new for the SOTM. But I just don't have time to make anything new right now. Oh well, I'd just like some feedback, if it's okay. The image is a bit blurry, so if anything I may have to sharpen it. EDIT: on second thought...I don't know if the sig is even Halloween-related enough for this SOTM??
I like it, LKK. Colours and text go really well together. But maybe try to have the girl and the text blend into the background a bit more?

First try at the theme. Been long since I took part in this contenst. Be gentle @ LKK As PreSage said, the character stands out very much and does not blend well with the rest of the picture

Ahaha, I know there were some people that even though it doesn't have halloween effects in it still look and feel like a halloween sig. I thought I could do the same but....I guess I should try a different approach.

I'm seeing a lot of entries that are generic "monster" signatures and not really associated with Halloween at all.
Halloween is celebrated/observed in two ways. The first is the modern commercial route which makes the holiday about costumes, candy, and spooky decorations like graveyards, pumpkins, skeletons, etc. Over the last century many famous monsters from literature have come to be associated with it as well - Frankenstein, Vampires, Werewolves, Ghouls, and many other unnatural creatures. The second, and original view of Halloween was its pagan roots. Modern Halloween developed many of its traditions from the Celtic holiday Samhain, which celebrated the end of summer, the beginning of more dark days than light, and the return of the spirits (both good and bad). You can read a decent summary of the history of Halloween here. For this contest, I am trying to be as open as possible. However, I want to see some effort that ties your signature to Halloween. Simply having a generic monster or some text is not going to work. Make your entry feel like it is part of the Holiday. Please put some thought into this, and take your time. Entries aren't due for another three weeks. If you have to ask me if the something fits the theme because you aren't sure, please do so. I'm more than happy to offer input.

It fits the theme. If I could offer some critique, the entry feels a little barren. I'm not sure which program you use, but maybe mess with the text a bit to have it go with the curve of the background more. And maybe blend the girl into the signature more, at the moment she feels kind of pasted in.
