I have an itsy bitsy.... problem.

I can't level up. Also, before I get any snide comments I'm not level 30. Actually I'm now starting my Legion character (Caligula) and want to know something's wrong?

I can't level up, whereas my exp on my pipboy shows 471/200 I still can't level up.

Is there any info on this glitch or problem anywhere?

Just so you know I can't go through the game as a level one character on hardcore.

I've not heard of that particular glitch before, Arbitres. Only thing I could think of as an easy diagnosis would be a mod conflicting with something in the game's leveling system. If you're on PC, there's always console commands. Just set your level to 2 and see if it fixes itself or... not.

Yeah , if you're on PC , find mod fix or use console command

If you're on console , i only find this :

Quote:
After completing a playthrough and starting a new one as the opposite sex (tested male to female), the Courier may not level up past level 1 despite gaining more than 200 xp. This can be fixed by starting a new playthrough as the same sex you were on your original playthrough.

Anyway , more info about the DLC :

Quote:
In Bethesda's latest newsletter, a designer on Fallout: New Vegas spills details on the upcoming "Dead Money," the Xbox 360-exclusive DLC extension to Fallout: New Vegas due on Dec. 21.

It's essentially a treasure hunt for a mysterious city, in this case the Sierra Madre, "an opulent and extravagant resort that was supposed to be the greatest casino in the west," but whose opening date, sadly, came after the bombs started falling. Its surrounding city, out in the Mojave Wasteland, is inhabited by the Ghost People, a people who are trapped inside hazmat suits thanks to pollution in the area.

You'll be spotting it the usual way - faint radio broadcast, in this case advertising the grand opening of the casino that never came. New foes and NPCs may be expected, including the Ghost People and the casino's "substantial defense systems."

Ballistic Fist forever! ><

Thanks guys. I'm leveling up now, though I chose to delete my saves and start over altogether. Which actually worked.

Anyone have any new errors now that the big patch is out?

...Or is anyone still playing? I plan on starting my second playthrough soon...

I'm still playing, well sort've. Now I'm waiting for DLC achievements.

Sorry Merines, but I can't help you; I can't download much, so I wouldn't know. Gamefaq or another game forum might have discussion about it though.

If real life conversations were like Fallout.

EDIT: Sho beat me to it in the Laugh A Day thread.

Looks like the mess between Interplay and Bethesda is over.

Steam put Fallout 3 and New Vegas on sale this week, still might be going.

I'd never actually played the games so it was an easy sale. Fallout 3 seems a little wonky (keeps throwing up on mods) but New Vegas takes mods quite smoothly. Gameplay in both is kind of interesting to see after hundreds of hours of Skyrim.

The first thing I missed was not having the ability to arrange the dead into artistic piles to put fear into my enemies.

You can still do that, but it's on a separately bound key rather than being shared with the activate key.

New Vegas is a better game in terms of storytelling and characterisation, Fallout 3 is a better game in terms of exploration. Probably up to you which you prefer, it's actually a very contentious subject among fans.

yeah, I've played just enough of each to see that. They both look pretty entertaining. I think my only complaint so far is the vanilla character gen tool had some of the ugliest mouths I've ever seen. I don't mind plain/average/etc but beaten with a stick I'll pass on. The karma thing is kind of odd at times (stealing from bad guys is bad? heh)

I'm still tinkering with Fallout 3 (the minigame of getting mods to work), New Vegas has been pretty seamless in comparison. I may just blow the folder away and re-install it.

The only mods one would really need is the GUI one and Lings Coffeur+Shojo.

For more fun, FOOK, New vegas Bounties, Right to bear Arms, More Perks/Traits/Challenges and Project Nevada. These add more interesting maps/dungeons and tooons of quests, challenges and weapons.
