But really, I admit I have a love hate relationship with spiders in particular. Love them as I am always amused by their creepy crawlyness, hate as in for some weird reason, they always like to pop up beside me as I'm working on my computer.

Here's my favorite encounter. While at a seaside getaway here in the Philippines working on my laptop, this large spider crawls up beside me on the wall.

My initial reaction was to suddenly get up from my chair and go "what the heck is that?" and then it settled in on me...."oh, this is the tropics" we stared at each other for a good 5 minutes before I figured might as well catch it.


I somehow coaxed it into this freezer bag, well, I have no idea how big my hand is so if anyone knows the size of that Reynolds freezer bag, that's how big it is. Now that's the only time I encountered that particular spider, but it's a really vivid memory Now, back here in the city, I have this small jumping spider that always likes to jump on the wall beside me. I later found it it likes the laser pointer, similar to a cat does so to make sure it doesn't jump me, I use the laser pointer to lure it away from me

and yeah, I don't like killing spiders, unlike my childhood self who would go Starship Trooper on every bug on earth and that's why I'm so into Rachnee, I'm fascinated and terrified at the same time, but since I've not been bitten by a spider before, the fascination overwrites the horrors most of the time

This series showcases the bizarre side of Anime which is always there, sometimes lurking, sometimes around the corner or down the hall but always part of the mix. At times..with some of these girls, it is over the top, this last ep was for me one of those. I don't really take it all too seriously but it is fun to see that this part of anime is alive and well...and how very strange it can be lol. Home stay Monster gurlz ;0

This pretty much sums up what I feel about spiders as well. I find them both fascinating and some of then down right pretty, but there's also a bit of a creep factor there especially with some of the bigger ones. But I like them more then I find creepy, so I was really looking forward to this Rachnee episode, and oh man is she adorable.

I actually likes all animals, even spiders and any bugs regardless how small or how big they are.

When I find them inside the house, I always try to catch them into a Jar or something similar and release them outside.

Same deal as when I am outside and see a Bug in the middle of the sidewalk where it'll get squished, I usually poke them with a stick and have them go into the bushes or something, LOL.

Tho one time there was a Beetle back when I was in school (long ago...) and the girls went crazy and killed it by dropping a chair on top of it... I felt sad about that... damn humans, always killing things they don't understand...

Following on what everyone else has said, humans do the same thing except that their eggs are single-cells. Birds' eggs just happen to form yolks and hard shells as part of the process.

Well what this thread has reminded me is that while I'm perfectly fine with Rachnera, actual spiders make me want to grab a weapon or run like a chicken . Just something downright unsettling.

Goes to show the power of anime. Someone like Rachnera in reality would have me ready to jump out a window (no matter how high I happened to be at the time), but she may end up one of my favorite characters in the show . Certainly reminds me how bad the original situation was for her. Getting stuck with people who aren't comfortable with her kind was just bad for everyone. I don't think the original family were bad people, but the situation wasn't what anyone expected.

The top of this page may be the source of my nightmares tonight .

Well keep in mind that Rachnera herself isn't very easy to get along with. Just look how long it took for her to even believe Darling was on the level. I'm not so sure the blame is so one sided.

Spider girls are basically those "Don't Judge by the Cover" type of things...

It seems like they actually WANTS to get alone with others in the first place, but it's just their biology (exoskeletons, spider-looks, sharp edges) that makes others "afraid" of them.
But in fact, if you look at it, Rachnera as noticed by MC, is constantly attentive of her surroundings to not harm anything and always in control of her own body.
(now that's hard to do, cause not even us can control our body... lol

Tho I think Loli Spider Girl will be easier to dealt with than Rachnera.
Still tho, if I get any sort of Monster Girl as my GF, it'll be (as of currently known) Pink Slimes, cause they are in heat 24/7 all year long.
Plus Pink Slimes are Vegetarians and they smell awesome.

Another perfect episode, Cerea finally is opening her heart and leaking her feelings toward Darling in a straight way. On the other hand Rachnee is the only one who can understand the actual situation and even help other girls, nice to know she's happy right now.

Darling sick and everyone trying to help him but that scene with Mero eating Miia's food was pure gold, Suu takes the screen this time and that was cute as fuck.
