second life
Hey, your guys, I am a new game player. I am playing SECOND LIFE. I have a question, how can I earn the money quickly? Do you know other fun games like SL? Thanks a lot!
All of my game information comes from: MMOSITE.COM, MMORPG.COM and MMOSPIRIT.COM. If you know others, plz tell me. Thanks again. |

To get money quickly in Second Life, do the following:
1. Click the money box in the top right corner and then buy some lindens. 2. If that doesn't suit you, find a dancing pad and stand on it for hours upon hours upon hours. 3. Your third option is to simply become an escort lol. You can also upgrade to premium account to get 300 lindens a week. I chose option 1 as well as upgraded to premium. Friend of mine chose option 2 and she leaves Second Life on while she sleeps. Oh and there are a crapload of people who chose option 3. I guess you could try to learn how to build things then create a shop and pray that someone manages to find your store and decides that whatever you made was worth buying.

Yeah, SecondLife really isn't so much a game as a virtual world/3D chatroom. So there's no easy in-world way to make money, like killing rabbits or something like that. You make money the same way you do in real life, getting a job. Or falling for scams, in which case you don't really make money, but they make you think you are. Dancing pads and camping chairs pay so little, you're still losing money through your electric bill just keeping your computer on with SL loaded.
The best way to make money in SL without resorting to being an escort, or without the skills and patience to make thing to sell, is to buy L$ as Bandersnatch suggested. I'd reccomend that over getting a premium account. Getting a premium account costs more for less in-world money, and all you get is the ability to "buy" land in-world. And since land is virtual, and you still have to pay tier fees, it's more like renting anyways. I would, however, reccomend tossing 10 bucks at your account right off the bat and making your avatar look decent. Some areas are downright snobbish about looks. To be fair, can you blame them? Would you rather spend your time in a place where most of the people look like this: Spoiler:
Or like this? Spoiler:
Seeing as how SL isn't quite a game, there isn't much like it out there. Sure, there's There.com and Active Worlds, but neither are really on the same level. Really, the closest thing I can think of are those old text-based MU* servers.

I wouldn't call SL's graphics inherently crappy. All the content in the game is created by the user base, and of course most of the user base is made up of amateurs with no experience, ambition, or skill to make decent visuals. However, there are also plenty of talented people who do make excellent graphics in SL. You just need to find the right areas to explore.
To be honest, I thought I'd made this point previously, but here's some more screenshots. Babbage Square: Spoiler:
Midian City: Spoiler:
I'd go so far as to say that, in the right hands, SL can potentially blow games like WoW out of the water.
