Usually i would put up a VA interview with cast of Idolmaster before the episode. Even though it's late, here's the interview with Ami/Mami and Ritsuko's VAs.
PS:Ritsuko's VA does look like her character.

I was quite happy with today's feature of the very rare glass idol Ritsuko. But I was so disappointed that the script was messed up.
Miki's conversation didn't make any sense; she seemly forgot that she is an idol, so when there is a stage show and it approaches you, but you suddenly think that you are not the right person ? It is a wicked reason. Spoiler for Spoiler:
BTW, how old is Ritsuko in the show ? It looks like that Azusa and her was set as much older than the others, but in the game they are just a few years older. Last edited by wm4; 2011-11-04 at 08:34. |

Good for Ritsuko! Enjoyed ep 18 ... but I must admit I was shocked to see Azusa with the mumps.... Was wondering when Ritsuko would be shown dancing like an idol like she is in the OP's. 7.5/10 vote for the ep from me.

Episode 18 was a great episode, although the song Ritsuko sung, いっぱいいっぱい (Ippai Ippai) sounds a little different from the recorded version. Probably she was nervous before getting over it.
Also... Spoiler for episode 18:

Lol Azusa got the mumps, she looked so funny. Like how she recorded a video for the show. Ritsuko finally made her brief comeback! Like how Ami and Iori got some payback as drill sergeant. Nice job getting her fan-club to show up for an extra boost in confidence. Finally a Takane ep next week!

Wow, this thread is less cluttered since the iM@S social group was formed
Anyway, I thought this episode was ok, it was simple overall so. Didnt think that I'd get to see "young" Ritsuko in the anime series. She actually looks quite adorable with that ponytail, though I prefer her current hair style the most. In the end I was glad to see Ritsuko on stage again. ...and yet again in this episode they hint that something is going on in Chihaya's life. Her episode must be fairly dramatic for them to be hinting something in each of the recent episodes...otherwise I'd be disappointed. We also got another rare scene, Kotori-san in her own clothes! (ok, well there was that one other time ) And I had a good laugh in that one scene in the ED, Ryo being dragged into that shop by Ai and Eri...lucky bastard. ...huh, what? Whats this I hear about Azusa having the mumps? *mental block of image in effect* ...does she? Spoiler for Is that you Ritsuko?!:

Yup there's a vaccine. Although not knowing which vaccines are administered in Japan, you have to take into account many factors. Not all vaccines are 100% effective and some lose their effectiveness over time. Also depending on the country there are variations on which vaccines to prioritize and administer and they change over the years and decades. Sometimes they drop certain vaccines because they deem the diseases they prevent eradicated or simply don't pose a risk anymore. Also you have to factor the parents, a brief minority are against vaccination too. So it isn't strange that people of certain age got or not vaccines compared to other people of different ages. It isn't rare for even developed countries to experience outbreaks of some diseases considered eradicated thanks to our global economy and plane traveling.
