Confirmed the v19 is entitled Moon Cradle.

The new volume will be an adaptation of a short story Reki had published on his personal blog.

To the principle is supposed that was a story parallel to Alicization, that not had much that see with
the story main.

But recently Reki updated history.
Now with this announcement we know that Reki is going to change some aspects of the story.

Moon Cradle is not a direct sequel to the v18, facts elapse between the defeat of Vector and the start of space exploration of the descendants of Underworld and their disconnection of Kirito and Asuna of the STL.

From my point of view this new volume could be a good thing, but bad at the same time, after all the side storie is a bit complicated (initially I thought that it was not canon, but now that Reki edit now is canon will be something that I do not entirely agree).

Good news the 30 and the 31 of December it two seasons and the OVA of Sword Art Online will be relay by Niconico and the 1st of January will have an ad special!

From December 30th to 31st, SAO, Extra Edition, and SAO2 will be broadcasting on Niconico, and apparently they have something special for January 1st.

SAOII was announced in a similar way, where Niconico had a broadcast of SAO before Extra Edition's airing, and then SAOII was teased at the end.

In OTHER news, Volume 9 was released. Unfortunately, the Color Spread at the mid-point of the book was replaced by a black-and-white image, because Yen Press can't afford colored ink.

Well the Alicization arc is already over in the LN so if they want to make another anime season they can start planning it now.

No I get that what I mean is that at the end of volume 18 when Kirito and Alice receive a mysterious IP link at Kirito's house on his computer that leads to underworld and both him and Asuna decide to return to underworld using the link at RATH headquarters, does Alice go with them???

That GM rapier part is after the parry, where they were exchanging blows, Asuna stated that because her rapier has higher priority that she's able to hold on to Alice's heavy strikes. She also admitted her skills were somewhat inferior to her opponent. Stacia account also added to her strength, as vol 17 mentions, her Super Account' parameters are all near the limit of the system, and her weapon is beyond what an Integrity Knight can have. Well in a long battle, Asuna might just win.

As for Fragrant Olive Sword, it should be one of the divine instruments with highest priority, but shouldn't be higher than a GM weapon. Why was it able to face Radiant Light... I don't know, it was never explained, perhaps weapon property is a factor, like a long sword should be heavier than a rapier... err...maybe.

Yes she does. The event goes similarly to the web novel summary in this thread. In fact, Kirito was the one that asked Alice to allow him to bring Asuna with them.
