The two recent anime that really stick out for me that is light-hearted and focus on human/family relation and have not being mentioned is Hanasaku Iroha and Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko.

Hanasaku Iroha is about a girl who was force to move into the hotel that was run by her estranged grandma after been abandoned by her mother and the relationship he formed in that place.

Denpa Onna is about a boy who move in to his aunt is house only to discover that his aunt has been hiding a certain someone from the rest of her family and the relationship formed between the boy and his new surrounding.
