Probably one of the main redeeming reasons for DxD, right there.

But rather than oblivious, he's focused on his goal. Other protagonist brains go like this: "Hey, that girl is cute and strong. How come she blushes all the time, though? Weird..."

Hmm, about Kamito X Restia, it's not love isn't it? I have no idea why this series is tagged 'romance' since only the girls that have feelings towards Kamito while he himself does not. 'Romance' is when there's mutual feelings between the MC and one (or more) heroine in the series.

IS is probably the worst case in 'oblivious guy' harem

Yeah it is, but sometimes girls beat around the bush and never state how they feel about the MC. Or in some cases they a victims of their own actions.

At least I made him think about Est a little

But the truth is that everything he has done and is doing is because of Restia. He became Ren Ashbell for her sake, and was willing to be manipulated by Greyworth to find her again.
