Lots of people had labeled me as anti-women recently but that isn't true, at least in my real life. I had some female friends even though none of them are anime fans. At least one of them seems to interested on anime as she saw me watching them and hoped of becoming an anime fan like myself.

Good news is she never saw much anime before except perhaps some kids' shows on TV. I'm may little opportunistic but I shouldn't let her watch shoujo shows especially bishounen fanservice ones. I'm not going to have a fujioshi as a close friend and I would hate her if she becoming one.

I'm too cruel for not letting her to see something that fit to her demographic but at least she can have better views on most seinen shows than most of the so-called female anime "fans" out there. I know she will turn herself into a fujioshi someday but at least I can slow it down. Maybe some cute girls will help.

Good seinen for women shows which already in my mind:

Clannad(it would be a crime for not including this)
K-On(why not)
Lucky Star(just pretend this is a Saturday morning show)
Taishou Yakyuu Musume(the most feminist non-shoujo shows ever)
Yosuga no Sora(she will handle it since she is a big girl)
Amagami SS(at least better than most crappy Hollywood chick-flicks)
School Days(so we can hate it together)

I agree about K-On

Probably Chrono Crusade

I disagree with Yosuga no Sora, Amagami SS, School Days.

If I have to choose only one though I'd go with Crest of the Stars.

Try Monster. Granted its got quite a bit of mature content and Dr. Tenma's fiance doesn't come across overly well, but Nina Fortner is pretty awesome and the series is just really good overall.

I don't know your true intention but I think you try to insult fujioshi indirectly. If you really serious about it then let me help you.

I think Hanasaku Iroha probably one of the best choice for her since it much like shoujo show except it's made for men(seinen). You already seen it too.

I also like to include Tari-Tari as well. There aren't many seinen romance shows which actually did a good job satisfying both genders like this one.

If you really into moeblob shows then I think you should let her see Nichijou. Both Lucky Star and K-On! already had fandom among female viewers and I don't see why she shouldn't see it.

Ergo Proxy
Kurenai

and what's wrong with a few josei shows like
Nodame Cantabile
Hataraki Man
Chihayafuru
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Kuragehime
Usagi Drop

Then we have shows based on novels like
Seirei no Moribito
Kemono no Sou-ja Erin
Shin Sekai Yori
Junni Kokki ("Twelve Kingdoms")
Genji Monogatari Sennenki

Or one based on a stage play
Oh! Edo Rocket

Or original productions like
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna
Noein

Should I continue, or is this enough for now?

The thread that connects all these shows together is that they include strong female characters. Most have no fanservice except for Mine Fujiko.

I wonder if you have the guts to show her your OP. This, or start with School Days. It is a valid part of the anime realm, for one; for other, I am curious if she would get the subliminal message without fail.

Higurashi/When They Cry: It's a pretty good mystery with a few good mindfucks.

Psycho Pass: if your friend likes sci-fi/dystopian fare, she'd like this one

Air/Kanon: same studio that bought you Clannad.

Azumanga Daioh: Funniest thing ever...and lots of cute girls.

Nichijou: Same thing but with moar robots.

Natsume's Book of Friends: I know you don't want dudes...but wait:

It's not a bishonen series as you SOOOOOOOO hate. It's more slice of life and it also deals with Japanese mythology and demonology more than anything.

Though I don't know how you feel about cute mascots because Nyanko-Sensei is effing hilarious.

Victorian Romance Emma and its second season would be probably be worth a watch, especially if your friend has an interest in history because it goes to great lengths to recreate Victorian England as accurately as possible. It's also a nice love story.
