^ As I thought. The anime will try to end at arc 3. Hopefully they can adapt the arc as smoothly as possible.

Arc 3 likely will end in the 9th LN or so.

Meaning, by the time the anime ends it'll be caught up with the LN releases.
Are the following arcs in the Web novel as long as arc 3?

Think they might go for an anime original ending?

Let's hope they will not go for an original ending like they did in Akame ga Kill

Huh? Aohige says it's fine place for the show to end. There's bit of a cliffhanger, but the situation of Arc is resolved with a great resolution. Leaves room for a 2nd season if sales are good too.

Beware he talking about Arc 3 as in WN verison (which roughly comprises of LN volumes 4-9).

End of arc 3 is the perfect place to end because:

1. Arc 4 is ridiculously long. It's the longest arc in the novel so far
2. Anywhere in the middle of arc 3 would be seriously bad. At least the story comes to a good closure at the end of the arcs.
3. Because arc three ends with such tragedy, the resulting anguish and pain of the viewers will be awesome to see.

Arc 4 is about 50% longer than 3, and arc 5 is about the same length as 3.

Elsa is one of the main antagonist in four, but she won't appear before that.
Reinhard appears as supporter of Felt in the Queen competition.
Unfortunately he's off busy doing whatever during arc three and cannot come to help for the fight.

Reinhard is often conveniently busy elsewhere during conflicts because he's waaaaaay too strong.
He's the strongest character in the novel, so stories would end in minutes if he's available.
We get to see him at full strength in arc five though, because the enemy is so great and in numbers and battles spread out, the story can afford to have a superman.

From reading the description of the episodes, I think it's gonna take at least to episode 10 for the second arc. Maybe even 11.
The third arc will likely be 14-15 episodes. Which will coincide quite will with chapter count comparison for the first three arcs.

That is only if they do it well unfortunately it looks like they are probably going to cut Conners.

ugh, I remember the part where Zero no Tsukaima 2nd season ending was change. They brought Saito back to life and instead end him there. I prefer the tragedy than the stupid start up of season 3.

The tragic end of arc 3 would give more reason for season 2 so I'm fine with ending the story in arc 3. Plus, its impossible to go further, unless they go for more episode or rush things which I hope won't happen.

The dragon sigil reacted to her, meaning she's one of the candidates.
Spoiler:

The candidates are rivals for the throne, but in general all on the good guys side.
They have to often work together in face of pure evil such as the Cult of the Witch.

Given all that talk about pacing, at least I can expect a decent-to-good adaption from this story, right?

We've only seen three episodes worth of material, but so far it feels like a 1:1 adaptation, yes.

Ah, sounds good then.

EDIT: I don't mind if they have trim a bit here and there to fit in the entirety of Arc 3 as long as it's does not adversely effect the story for worse.

^True, Subaru loved Emilia and he also did everything for Emlia but Emilia is not the one who stick with him through all his suffering. No one aside from Rem is the only who believe in Subaru and the only one who stay by his side when everything distrust and abandons him.

Falling in love with the best girl is just a predicted result and I can't fault Subaru for that.

Going to hell and back along side a person tennds to create strong bonds so canīt blame the guy for a change of heart either, make the story more complex and interesting.

Although his love for Emilia is more of an extension of adoration, his feelings for Rem was much more down to earth and basic. The difference is like idol and girlfriend.
