No different from sports irl, they got national tournaments, and international tournaments As for the episode, its about what I expected it to be, good ol awesome over the top with Tryon 3, with Fumina and Sekai taking the hits to let Yuuma settle it To top it off, they did not waste much time cutting to the fight, and ended it in the episode Next episode seems to be mostly rest/prep, with the match probably starting at the end of the episode. Unless this fight is really really long for some reason (which it shouldnt be due to the time limit now), we will get 1-2 episodes of extra stuff. You know what we want Bandai |

I know what the world tourn is, but gunpla academy has won the nationals three times yet they have never been in the open tournament. That leads to my question on how does one qualify for it. Do they do mini tournaments around the world like in build fighters or what?

That was an epic battle, I'm going to miss Tryon 3 and all the enthusiastic hot-blooded rivalry. I actually like it a bit more than the "cool, calm" rivals of Celestial Sphere. Well, that and Yuuma and Sakai were rivals much longer than the other rivalries of this series. Though kind of funny that Sekai is taken out fast sometimes, but guess that makes up for his occasional duels, and nice to have the focus on Yuuma (though he still has one more rival to take on).
Just wish the first half of the episode hadn't been so focused on how it was more the machine's weakness than Lucas for why he lost the battle. Though that mention of world tournament does sound exciting. Loved all the super-robot cliches and the attempts to take advantage of them, but Sakai's already covered most of those weaknesses. And he was respectful enough to his teammates to try to stall for a time-out win for their sakes, but they're satisfied with making it to the semifinals. Now for the pre-final battle breather episode, hope its entertaining enough, not sure if I should hope for another cameo overload like the first season or not. |

Minato >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lucas.
Minato lost due to the plot. Skill and power-wise? His gunpla stomps so HARD. Phoenix? W laser? LOL!!!!! Love his ultimate move and the clichés; Trap and Lock the enemy, draw the sword, and cut them in fanciest way ever. Also, this episode just showed you why villains always let the main characters combine their mecha...Not because they don't want to interrupt the combine scene, but because they know it doesn't matter at all in the end. |

That's pretty great episode, it's refreshing to actually see Sekai and Hoshino got really taken out and Yuuma having his spotlight. While the final fight between Lightning and Tryon 3 was pretty great (although a bit too short), it really shows that Lighting is extremely weak and lacks any special gimmicks to go against most of the opponents. It has neither overpowering attacks nor any great mobility (except it's first sortie). It really needs some major upgrades

In the last two episodes, the fight have improved. Tryon 3 is officially my favorite mech from this show. The badass hissatsu, the lion roar, rocket punch, and etc, its full appearance has been awesome has I expected.
And the hotbloodness between Yuuma and Sakai, god that just epic. Oh the side mention, Sakai's wall slam lol.

Obari level off the fucking charts. That fucking land-sea-air GATTAI, that Beam Clash where both sides keep adding more shit, and that Hyper Minovsky Pose and Finisher. Literally the craziest, most hyper fight of tourney. Minato you motherfucker, where were you all season?

God this was such an awesome episode, as good as the Felini and Reiji's match last season or even better if you're a super robo maniac Minato, you got a great team. Yuuma was also fantastic this episode after being overshadowed by Jigen Haou Ryuu the whole season. Did he just pull a meijin at the end lol? Pretty sure Meijin did something similar last season with the Renato brothers.
Looking through the YouTube comments, so many people called Tryon a shout out to daitarn 3, voltes, brave series and literally every other super robo show in existence, but nobody noticed the Eldran reference Minato was practically shouting at the screen makes me somewhat sad |
