I'm alright with Rebellion and Rakuen Tsuiho (never seen Gaim) but he's seriously being overrated to insane levels...

My memory is a bit fuzzy about this, but the most 'concrete' hint on this is that tweets Butcher made few months ago that he is working on script for a full cour show himself.

But yeah, I am not sure if it is anime. Might be something else entirely.

Not very impressed with shows Urobuchi only play a little role of it, but if he write scripts for most (or all) episodes within a single show, then I'm in.

his writing isn't that good the last good thing he has done was saya no uta

we are tired of his writing so I'm not going to join this hype train

at least tell me the studio so i can see whether his stories will be carried by animation or not

Urobuchi didn't write the scripts for Gunslinger Stratos nor Chaos Dragon, in fact he only did the base story concept for the former and creating a backstory to one of the characters in the latter, then it doesn't stop them being far from great. Considering the thread title however, I'm going to guess he will most likely play an important role to the project and not just writing one part of it, but then I'm not going to hold my breath given how badly he treats Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and Aldnoah/Zero.

This is why I refuse to get hyped at all until we find out how involved in the project he actually is.

Urobuchi's worn out all the good will he generated from Madoka, F/Z and Pscho-Pass by lending his name to sub-par projects he's barely involved with. At this point if he doesn't write this whole thing himself (or at least with him heavily supervising the other writers), I think his name stops being worth anything.

Getting really sick of hordes of Butcher fanatics thinking how Urobuchi = Nitroplus or how they blame his flopped projects on Nitro's staff when generally, he just borrows the Nitroplus name to publish associated written works

In all fairness, That is what they doing with A/Z. While Urobochi did involved in the project. Never in any part of promotion before and during the airing, he been labeled as "Main writer". It always be Olympus Knight

It just the fan that follow blindly thinking that everything that he touched will be good. Personally I never really enjoy stuff that he make.

But they went out of their way to promote Urobuchi's involvement before the series premiered, which is usually done for the head writer and not some guy who's just going to write three episodes. And of course the real problem with A/Z was that the episodes he wrote really were great and if the show had maintained that quality throughout, it'd be a classic, but the moment he left the quality collapsed. Which is the same pattern we saw with Gargantia, and similar to what happened on Psycho-Pass 2.
