OK I'm confused. The description on the first page says that the little girl came and declared that she'd make the hero her disciple, but in the preview she says she's come to have him take her as a disciple, and then for the rest of the PV refers to him as "Master", indicating that he's the master in their master-disciple relationship. Was there a typo in the description at the start?

Episode 1:
I got what I had expected from the episode. Cute characters, shogi, awkward moments, comedy, etc. It stayed true to its premise pretty well so far in terms of storytelling. I like Ginko so far with her cool personality and presence in the series. Ai is also quite a cute girl. Not a fan of that Yaichi guy though except for his shogi skills. First episode pretty much sets up for more storytelling to come later. I expect more shogi matches and maybe even some characterization about the main characters. I heard good things about the light novels before so curious to see how they will do the rest of this season.
