A Komachi aka best girl episode! This season is off to a great start. I've always loved the dynamic she has with Hachiman.
I didn't remember Saki's little sister being such a fan of Hachiman. She was all over him, and he was really friendly and comfortable with her too. He's dangerously close to ending up on the lolicon route. This episode really felt like a return to form after the second season. I hope there'll be less drama and more comedic and heartwarming moments in this one.

Best girl wars between Yukino and Yui are pointless, best girl has already been decided and it's the imouto.
This was a nice reintroduction to the series after a break and it will be nice to see how all the drama wraps up. Hopefully there isn't too much drama.

Winter often signifies key changes to people. Yukino was prepared to clear things out with Hachiman, and Komachi is preparing for her life as a high school student. However, that resolution between Yukino, Yui and Hachiman would have to wait, on Yui's recommendation.
It's both a welcome back to the series and a reminder that the final resolution is not that far away. Also, you thought Hachiman was this loner guy since the start. Nah, this is how Hachiman acts around imouto-type personalities. EDIT: A warning to those watching the Sentai releases: the subtitles are translated by someone with a notorious issue regarding to translation quality.

I had to go back to my comment on the last episode of season 1, since I remembered that I thought we won't get a second season of this, let alone a third season.
I declared the first season as better than attack on titan, wow, and by coincidence they're both ending this year too, what a ride it has been I even got reminded of the pairing that I wanted this to end on, and why I wanted it to end that way, and how the second season didn't change my mind. All I can say is that with all that has been going on it really does feel like they're wrapping things up, kinda makes me excited on what they will be doing until the very end.

It was mostly skipped over during the second season, but they had met during the Christmas Festival arc, where Hachiman is visiting her elementary school to recruit kids for the festival. She was lost at first when he ran into her. Saki then formally introduced her to Hachiman.

Well it was pretty clear that Yui never had much of a chance and it's pretty clear to even her that not only does Yukino like Hachiman, but he probably likes her too and they would make a good match. I can understand holding inti the vague hope that your love will returned, but she's gotten more than enough signs by now.
