Hmm, the cat ears have finally came back and it was so sudden. LOL, funniest scene has to be where Oji-chan gets freaked out by the cat having no bunghole.

I am glad that ep4 was released in mkv the first time instead of ogm. mkv plays so much better in my opinion. Anyway this is an awesome show and keeps getting better with each episode. I suggest it to anyone who likes comedy.

@ashibaka
I'm told that your subs have the cats/familiars name as Haiji. Is there any special reason your group decide to use the romanization straight off rather than use Heidi? See the following URL. http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/search.p...kind=ej&mode=0 A google search easily provides the same kind of information to support ハイジ->Heidi as well (As can be seen in other shows, you often can't go straight from katakana to latin characters to spell a name correctly.) |

(There is no special reason other than that the katakana Haiji don't sound like Heidi and I didn't bother to look it up.) Last edited by Shii; 2004-10-28 at 15:24. |

Japanese has few phonemes so sometimes you cant tell, and its usually safest to stay phonetic, imo. |

Sometimes there is a warning message in the beginning of episode that you shouldn't watch TV too close to the screen, and my quess is that they "mistranslated" that on purpose, like in episode 3.
And what they mean? I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with Hazuki being moe~. |

For what it's worth, the actual admonition is "When watching Tsukuyomi, turn on your lights and keep a good distance away from the television! ♥" and it was made a requirement for all anime by the Japanese government a while back. (If it was missing from a fansub, it's because they clipped it out or they used a DVD raw.) I think it's because of the Pokemon seizure incident. You might say it's better to leave it untranslated, but it's covering up a sizable part of the screen anyway. |
