Somehow i fail to see why someone shouldnt call himself an anime fan if he dislikes a certain genere. I myself have no intentions of watching it anytime soon(in this life). Does that mean i cant call myself a fan of anime?

Well "that" Anime..was targeted too girls only~. And for me, I wont probly see it in this life afterall.

And if you wanna call yourself an anime-fan or otaku. Then you dont really need to have all those posters/merchendice etc. But even for Anime. You dont really need to watch all those 7331 (mirror!) anime's out there either. You watch what you like, and you keep what you like.

for azumanga daioh if you find school rumble funny it doesn't mean you'll find azumanga dioh funny, for me I was bored by azumanga daioh (ugh so overrated). so do not go and buy the boxset if you haven't seen one ep of it.

like other pople ouran high school host club, suzumiya haruhi...

kinda boring answer but i really think school rumble (esp season 1) is the best of this genre.

I also recommend School Rumble, season 1
In season 2 they spend too much time during the school festival, and nothing too terribly exciting happens, however you can watch it if you really like the characters. I think there's gonna be a third season too, so look out for that.

lol... it's funny how nobody really pays any attention to the first post, including me sometimes. The first post already stated school rumble, they're just asking for recommendation of something similar to school rumble or gto.

Try Azumanga Daioh.

If your into the whole highschool romance scene, u might wanna check out Suzuka and Ichigo 100%. Personally i loved the story line to them but unfortunately they dont take the animes to the same level as the mangas.

how bout Asu no Yoichi ?? its about a guy on a moutain going to city to study a certain martial art. then the 1st time he touched a girl's breasts n many funny things when he arrived at the dorm, those girls he met on road are the sister of the coach!! well funny and harem they guy makes 1 gal after 1 gal fall for him each episode(i think so) ecchi though xDD
