Out of curiosity, what method do you use to colour them? And what program are you using?

From the picture in the spoiler tag it seems as if you actually colour on top of the lines layer or on the same layer itself (if you are using a program that supports layers like PSP, Photoshop, oC or Painter etc.).

If you are doing that (pardon me if you aren't), have you tried changing the mode of the lines layer to Multiply and then putting the colour layers under it? Changing the lines from Normal to Multiply makes all the white become transparent, and then you can colour under the lines and you don't have to bother about covering the lines.

Also, I think while the first one was OK, you might want to play around with less saturated colours for the rest.

All were done using Photoshop

* The 1st one was was a proper layer method on Photoshop .... level of detail was high ...

* The 2 nd and 3 rd were a layer standard tutorial but took least amount of time around 10 mins due to minimal levrl of detail + effects for background

* The Last was done frre hand minus layers using paintbrush,bucket tool and magic wand ... with additional effects

I have been trying to improve my tone/shadow shading skills so doing these shadings as a practise ... long ways to go I know

Loved Doing it - Add Nosebleed Here - . The whole page would have been nice I dont follow Sumomo Manga , so used a pic from AS Boards
