I second everything capture said.
Suzuka isn't shounen (nor is it much of a comedy). It is plain, old romance/drama. Busou Renkin D.N. Angel Chrno Crusade perhaps Tsukuyomi: Moon Phase as well.

You guys probably are using the word shouen wrong. Shounen means boy. It means that the manga/anime is aimed at boys. You guys are using it to refer to action and adventure. Rurouni kenshin. The 4 ova's and the tv series and finally the ending OVA's. You can also watch the movie which takes place somewhere a long the tv series. I wouldn't recommend watching the two ending ova's though, because of the depressing ending and rushes a lot of things. The manga is better, though the latter few volumes aren't that good compared to the begin, but the ending is pretty satisfying and good. You should also watch everything of Full metal panic even if you don't like mecha. The romance isn't that god, but it's definitely present especially during The Second Raid. You could also try Gundam SEED you won't like if you hate mecha though. Avoid watching Gundam seed destiny though, simply because it sucks. |

I do know what shounen means, but in most cases when people use it as a description for an anime they indeed mean action series. Not like i am going to go on explaining it every time i see it, nor is it particularly important as long as we understand what he means. From his post it is obvious that he was looking for "action" series, not just any anime aimed at boys
*sigh* And from that perspective, Suzuka isn't shounen.
