If you are related to her master/mistress, you can ask for her as a gift, if not you have to buy her over. It works for most cultures and it started out from the time when they are referred to, "politically incorrectly" as slaves.

The difference between a maid and a slave is that a maid gets paid in installments, whereas a slave is a one time payment. Either way, they are paid to do the work you don't want to do, and the money goes to different people.

Hmmm I've never thought of such a question.

But most probably the maid can resign and get married.

But again, I've seen that alot of maids are already married and have children back in their countries in the first place. They work as maids and send money back home.

Maids are employed, and offer a service in exchange for money. Unless of course we're talking about medieval (or classical era) maids, who were more often than not (heavily) indentured servants barely above slaves.

Slaves are regarded as property, and are forced into service with with no choice of services. One might as well have an automaton (which, ironically, Imo-chan is, but she is not a slave, since apparently human rights prevail for artificial intelligences in the future).

Of course, many maids are ill-treated and forced to do disgusting things, but that is a fault on the employer's part.

That reminds me, there is a politician who did that around 10-20 years ago here. But I guess he is just sexually deprived.

what kind of upgrade does sakura going to implement iside the maidriod body? or what other stufff is she think of installing?. Sakuras mind may be a dangeroud place for an innocent mind

I can think of many improvements to be maid made on a maid(roid), ranging from aesthetic to functional. However, for the sake of everyone's sanity, I will refrain from posting my suggestions here.
