-If you want to discuss or give opinion on either Beato or Oohara, better do it in Voice Appreciation Thread or Beatrice's Thread, whichever suit the best. This is thread for asking some factual things you want to confirm or know. We don't wanna mods do some slaughtering do we?

-As to reply that ahahaha.wav... Do you really... Think a rather 1000 years old witch with 20-30 years appearance would have that kind of high-pitched cackle? That and it sound ridiculous if you really want them to be voiced with human voice anyway Seriously I am disturbed if the cackle is like that and voiced lmao And here I thought I have survived literal ear-rape

Anyway not spamming here. Just want to know that: since EP5 NV was releases (expected to be answer arc) does this means NV readers now understand roughly 50% of all mystery? Yes or no?

Simple answer would be... No. I don't really know if it's appropriate to talk about VN (EP5 especially) here, so can't give detailed answer

Also, anime question.. In ep 18, Battler said something about the contract not being what they were agreeing to, or something to that effect. What was it supposed to be, in his mind?

I guess that it has something to do with kinzo saying its a contract for letting beatrice into the golden land but the contract just says "acknowledged beato to be a witch"

Also note that the "e" isn't really supposed to be pronounced. In Japanese it should sound like "anju" - though apparently Ryukishi07 got her name from the RO skill Angelus, which I'm pretty sure is Latin... so the "je" would be alright, but it would still have to be "an" and not "en."

i was wondering...the relationship between these 3 characters: rika furude, Bernkastel, and Erika Furudo?

Rika Furude was never mentioned in Umineko, so it isn't clear if she exists in this universe. We do know however that Bernkastel shares a very similar past with the Bernkastel of Higurashi. In other words the Bernkastel of Umineko was born from a human exactly like the Bernkastel of Higurashi. It was never stated what was the name of this human, but you can imagine she was called Rika Furude.

Anyway regardless of the name this person was once put in a predicament similar to that of Battler (although Bernkastel says Battler's situation is even worse), and behind it all there was Lambdadelta. Bernkastel is the consciousness of this person who kept all the memories of the various kakera she's been through, thus becoming jaded and cynic. Bernkastel then won the game against Lambdadelta and became an independent existence ascending to the rank of Voyager Witch.

This is the kind of relationship that exists between Bernkastel and her human source, the same applies to Higurashi's Bernkastel and Rika Furude.

the last one requires Episode5 infos, but I will limit it to the character itself

Little is known about who Erika Furudo really is. We only have what the character himself and bernkastel say, however that is a story that can't be accepted from an anti-fantasy perspective.

Bernkastel claims that Erika is her creation, a piece of herself that she used to give life to a sort of proxy to use in the gameboard of Episode5. She sometimes calls her "my daughter".

Erika also claims that Bernkastel created her, and she calls her "my mistress". Erika is totally devoted to Bernkastel, takes great pride in doing her biddings and feels great shame in disappointing her.

Which episode/arc are you talking about? The first one? Did you just watch episode 5 of the anime?

They died. We don't know how. If you check out the TIPS thread here it'll give you more information. The police didn't find their bodies, they just found ground up body parts, and a piece of Maria's jaw.
