The ending was full of bang and boom... and now, I don't really know what else there would be to the story if they had to continue it.

Spoiler for Episode 12:

It really seemed like the end of the series for good.

This episode was epic. I wonder if we'll get full colour in the Blu Ray than just b&w? Though it was an interesting touch...

Omg they killed them off, totally did not expect this because I thought they would leave room for a 2nd season...?

Damn it, it will take a while before the novels arrive.

yeah, that was a great episode indeed. I'm still sad for Jubei, though.
Now I understand all the comments on 2ch/2chan marked as "BAD END" and such...

but, at least we got a very good ep, and lots of funny things like: Tsundere-Yoshihiko, kakeru-Juubei, more Naoe-goodness, and Gisen went completely crazy... my god... lol, I was expecting Gisen to go crazy but not to that extent...

yeah, I too don't see how they can continue with a 2nd season at this point. but, oh well, let's just hope for the better.

Now, onto the specials, I guess.

Maybe she only gets the pink eyeliner when she transforms in the novels. They changed the eye color in the anime to make the difference between the two Juubei more visible (although the voice was more than enough to differentiate them - props to Ao-chan again).

I think we should make a bee line for who wants to lick Juubei
Especially certain places

Perhaps at the end, the "permanent" Juubei is the blue-eyed Juubei, but she gains the abilities of golden-eyed Juubei.

Yes, it's possible that the sword chain is the black sword she already had all along, just that she didn't use the sword chain mode so far.

well i was pretty shocked that theyd kill off the main heroine, but they can still have a 2nd season since that main villain guy suddenly disappeared. Also when he sees that light at the end and smiles could mean they could just reincarnate jubei once again.

Can someone here state the differences between the novels and the anime?

I usually get interest in that for these kind of series because of the discrepancy in storylines...

Of course, if any of you does have the time for it, or if anyone has already done it through the series...

Episode sadden me, bittersweet end.

I would also like to know the differences between the Novel and Anime as well.

If I'm not mistaking, didn't somebody in this thread state that they have read some of the novel?

I may have to go back to check, but one poster said that Muneguy gets Nia and Gisen in the novel.

Also, he could possibly have numerous other samurai in the group later on?

Were they just guesses and speculation after all?

Now we just need someone to look into the original work (light novel) and find out the possibilities of continuation, did the novel end already or did it end differently?

Visually the episode was excellent, and in addition had enough action for a finale. PLus I liked the B&W, though I think they kind of overdid it.

I did not like the fusion of Jubee's personalities; apart from being cheesy, it removes her most interesting character trait, but anyway, since she returned to where she came from, it's not a big deal, anyway

What sucked was that Gisen died, but there was no way around that either.

I really wanted more of Matabei, Hanzo, and Kanetsugu; but I am greatful that they managed to even show them do something ... though insignificant. Still though no Matabei episode (given the lack of plot-driven episodes) is inexcusable.

As for the repentant shogun and his resurrected samurai, it was a nice touch, but rushed and underdeveloped.

All in all, they could have done a lot more with the story, like actually having one, but obviously the team's focus was on visuals and style. As for the final episode, it was better, storywise, than the average of the series.

As for a sequel, since when is the story and/or character deaths relevant Jubee can fall from the sky again

Ja ja, a bittersweet end indeed. As I like to say, there was much to be desired, as it was rather sad to see them disappear off one by one, leaving Mune-guy all alone. Juubei-chan returned to whence she came.

You got me. Maybe it really was just an elaborate introduction Though, I don't want to know how these girls can fly. Well, they fell from the sky to begin with, so...

PS: Sometimes, I feel like the censorship makes things look dirtier than they really are. For example, what the hell was Gisen licking at ~3:45?
Here's one for the WTF books. Why the heck did they censor a fully clothed Juubei as they panned up her breasts? Not funny man

Hmm hmm, makes sense. I had forgotten the difference of a novel -> anime conversion.

It's a real shame we didn't get to see it in episode 12. Speaking of chains, I believe this be the first time Naoe-chan uses hers. Man, I would love to be chained up by her

So uh... For the Winter Season, I'll.... be "Freezing my ass off" *play drum sound effect for jokes*
