This is kinda perplexing, though. Why spend so much money on a tiny little film strip when you can wait a few months, buy the DVD/Blu-ray and take a high quality screen shot? That's certainly more practical and cost effective

Because anybody can do that. The film strip is a rarity, even if it is just a novelty.

I guess that's true...

"I may only have enough money to live in this cardboard box in an alley, but at least I have my filmstrip!"

Yes, bragging rights and taking his fanboyism to all new heights. All in a days work of a rich otaku(s) - Considering how many were willing to go over a thousand dollars for it...

The filmstrip is a symbol for pride, dignity, and wealth for many.

Nah, I think Demi. said it best... bragging rights for being an ultra-fanboy.

Whether or not it's really something to brag about is a matter of opinion, though

Ultimately it boils down to the fact that twenty to thirty years from now, its likely going to be worth a lot of money. Maybe.

True, but then comes the conundrum: does the owner go for the money, or keep it for the sake of fanboyism?

Of course there is.

Like "LOL, I'm so rich I can fork USD$6000 out for JUST. ONE. LITTLE. FILM STRIP! RAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!"

There, bragging rights.

Though of course, whether that money is a result of his/her own hard work in the very first place is a something left in the air =3

Let's hope the strip is worth the investment when our friend finds him/herself running short of funds in the future.

Or a matter of perspective.

Yeah, there's always the chance that someone bought it strictly as an investment.

Oh, yeah... Teana showed up today.

It's kind of exciting just seeing three of them together. I can only imagine what the whole collection looks like on display.

They match her gloves.

[edit]- Here's a good review of her. Just keep scrolling down and you'll find the pantsu shots.

Boo! Teana's underwear is supposed to be orange! I cry inaccuracy!

So you can take her jacket off? That's pretty damn hot!

Hmm, I wonder if her head is a bit too big though, which makes her look rather awkward at some angles (for example, this one).
