http://factsanddetails.com/japan.php...2&subcatid=147 It would be like in School Days. You'd get a nice boat scene which would be rendered intact on the video release. Spoiler:

The instructions only said "press the green button on top of the radar tower, then press it again after one hour". He was surprised when the dome opened.

Spoiler for Vn:
Was awesome too see Nae pop up, R;n must be set around 10 years after S;g. The series sure is keeping its rather leisurely pace, but Id imagine there must be some sort of plot twist coming |

I think the series could be a very interesting one if it take the dramatic form of a giant robot / conspiracy story (Evangelion anyone?) but actually plays it out with nothing more than normal school kids in a realistic world and one delusional adult. There could still be a very dramatic story, without any (outrageous) science fiction. I think actually the series is starting to hint this pretty hard. When I look at the opening I'm struck by how the music and the cinematography follow the mold of a giant robot action show. Dramatic images of the pilot getting ready and the robot being revealed, but then instead of launching into a space battle it's out hero commuting to school on a scooter. Quick exciting shots of our ensemble cast doing the things that define them as characters in their regular crisis-of-the-week dramatic routine, but instead of fighting hordes of drones or coming up with clever plans they're wandering through school and putting up with Akiho's ridiculous schemes. Twice the opening trolls us with an action scene of a robot - the first time the robot is revealed to be a small remote controlled toy, the second time it's a clip from an anime that Akiho's playing. The opening even ends on the kind of 'step up to action" shot of the team getting ready with the GunPro1, and that shot it self starts to feel typically awesome and exciting, then undermines itself with the ridiculous (no doubt intentional) design of the GunPro1. The Nae reveal scene reinforces this for me, along with the ridiculous nature of the flags for the reports. Whenever Robotic's notes quotes or parodies a show, the story quickly calls them on it or undermines it - Gendo pose, the fact that JAXA support (scientist recruiting his child to build giant robot) was really just a father's awkward attempt to support. In Stien's gate there was no doubt that real time travel was happening and that there was a conspiracy. Here I'm not sure. I think the twist is going to be that there is no twist (or at least no fate of the real Earth in the balance) - just the fate of these young men and women growing up. Their hopes, dreams, and how they deal with the forces beyond their control like a mysterious illness. I don't know any spoilers, but knowing that the VN was 'disappointing' to many fans would not surprise me if they did indeed subvert their fans expectations in such a way.

No there is definitely something going on.. Aki's sister said it herself at the competition 'your still in their grip. Not only that but stated that it was not a good thing.
Secondly they were measuring his power evidently because if you watched the left corner the part that was cut off part of it said detected value and was rising and his threshold amount went as high as 1.26 and it went as high as 1.26 before going back down and his detected value spiked a couple of times pretty high. No this is not all delusion they were definitely recording him and his power but for what reason? And the way she stated he was still in their grasp indicates he's probably been monitored for a long time. |

After nine long years, the robot was finally completed... and it's nothing like in my anime
I can genuinely believe this was created by high school students. The movements, the cockpit, the controls (two buttons )... it's all so cheap compared to what anime has accustomed us to. Obviously, I never thought it'd be close to an actual mecha, but I still expected it to be more impressive and have more impact, as that old guy would say. The final result is probably not what Misaki had envisioned. There's still a lot more work to be done until they get a robot close to what we saw in episode 1's pre-OP sequence. The true fight has just begun!

I felt bad when Gunpro-1 started to move, so embarrassing and so morale breaking in front of all those people. I just can't understand Misaki right now, she tells Akiho to fulfill her dream but now she looks down on it.
This episode also made me a Frau fan, you never would have guessed that her seiyuu did Ayatsuji Tsukasa or Eureka.
