Without spoiling me, as i haven't watched the second season yet, can someone explain to me this "horrid" Endless Eight or w/e?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiSg0...layer_embedded

^ I keep hearing bad news, and that youtube video pretty much sums it up i guess? Is it really something like the same thing over and over?

And secondly, how many episodes are going to be in this series, and if i don't remember the first one, should i go back and watch it/gloss over it?

The new 'season'(actually, a inproved rerun) was designed to you see the other again. It is being showed between a rerun of the old episodes.

For the Endless Eight. It just ended today. It is 6 episodes with the same plot and more 2 very similar (one to begin and one to end).

Yes, but with new episdoes (must just see the new episodes, however). Aparently, there will be 14 new episodes. We have already seen 9 (8 being EE). Probably there will be 5 more.

On a basic level, this year's Haruhi is filling in the story gaps in the First Season. We suppose this is so they can run a new season without having to play "fill in the blanks" at a later date. (since that is what they are doing now, even with the DVDs).

Will they do the same for us chaps in R1 when/if it's dubbed?

Probably. Though that means a disc with one episode on it then probably three more with four on them each. (Depends on where the break is on the R1 DVDs.)

You're assuming Bandai won't go bankrupt/leave the anime field. And don't count on it being dubbed, Hayate and Kannagi weren't.

I'll pick up the DVDs if their dubbed. Subbed...idk, I don't like watching subs on my television. Plus, dubbed anime is easier to watch with friends so that if people need to leave the room they can still hear what's going on in the next room (in the case of my dorm room).

If we do get an R1 release, I'd be interested to see if they do them to fit with the original DVDs as well. BLR would have to be it's own DVD labelled 2.5, while the rest could be 3.333333, 3.666666, and 3.999999. (Assuming 4, 4, and 5, but they could stretch it to 3.25, etc. ) If they did do it that way, Bandai could announce this before hand, release BLR first with a dub and then say sales will determine if the rest gets dubbed.

If Bandai does go bankrupt Funi can always take over (or Viz since they have most of the dub VAs). I don't know what those two shows are; enlighten me.

If BLR gets its own release it better be really cheap or have enough extras to make up for it. Also, I think it would go 4, 3, 3, 3 if BLR got its own disk; singles almost never go over 4 eps per disk.

Yeah. If they do a normal release, though, they'd probably just have an episode guide or something to let people know what order to watch the episodes in.

If they ever release it on Blu-ray, it should end up being released to reflect the 2009 airing. So when BLR is on the same disc as a 2006 episode, everyone will finally realize it's one season. Even though I think they should already, but anyway...

More like filling out than filler. We'll see what they throw at us next.
