So, I finally caught up with a month and some of bleach! Gotta say, it was half-interesting half-boring, the boring part adhering to the repeated flashbacks. The omakes were pretty funny though, I hope they keep it up~ |

Tousen died. God, what a tragedy death .. his death was terrible, the explosion was awful
Im not sure if Aizen killed him or his body just exploded by itself .. there was no sign for kido or any other attacks but I guess Aizen killed him. Im glad he regained his eyesight for some minutes, this is all the blind people can ask for .. and he really had a beautiful eyes. |

I like the bomb theory, although if your gonna nuke your own you might as well weaponize them by making it an extended blast. |

I think he got overhyped because he cut Grimmjow's arm off with no effort while Ichigo's attacks were bouncing off of Grimmy's skin, and a all-out Getsuga Tenshou point-blank to the face did little more than burn his skin.
I guess the only real explanation was that his hollow powers were completely offensively-oriented, which is why a vice captain could defeat him. If he was more well-rounded like a mid-level Espada, Hisagi's attack would have just bounced off. |

Not quite what I was getting at when I questioned him
Hisagi put it best "You're definitely not Captain Tousen anymore, he would of easily dodged my attack." With all that power gained, Tousen ironically enough, was blinded by being able to see the world. |

I think his ears weren't the problem here, but the fact that his overconfidence and the fact that he could see made him not sense for spiritual pressure (I think of it as a radar). Had he kept his radar on, he'd have know Hisagi was right above him.

He always could sense spiritual pressure he just stopped thinking and listening a feeling the energies around him and just used his eyes. He was over hyped when he could see and that was his downfall
