And in other news... CDJapan just wrote me to say the release dates for two Shuffle products I've ordered have been "pushed" (delayed).
Collectible / 1/8scale PVC Figure - SHUFFLE! Part.3!: Nerine (in waitress costume) Delayed from 2/28/06 to 3/05/06. Collectible / SHUFFLE! Heroines Blind Box ban goods (10 unpainted figurines) Delayed from 2/28/06 to 3/12/06. Of course this always makes me a bit nervous when there are production delays. Especially since they haven't released any information about any further figures from At-Sai.... usually by now they're already taking preorders for the next one. I suspect I might see the occasional alarm clock from the first series once the fanboiz tire of them (or the speculator crowd thinks the time is ripe) on ebay.

Well Vexx, googling for Ama got me this link.
http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/83989824 Someone is selling the whole set of alarm clocks. Yes, including the 4 new ones released recently. Current bid is 80,000 yen. Ends on March 2nd. I think. |

I'll pop back here as merchandise I've ordered for Shuffle! shows up or to check on the translation patch... but you'll find me more often over in:
Karin, Canvas 2, Kamichu!, REC, PPD, Lamune. Now I'll be waiting for Soul-Link .... and oooh, the PPD staff is taking on Negima second season. I've seen preliminaries of the artwork (over on Megatokyo's anime/manga forum) and it looks like it'll be cool ... plus I have higher hopes for the PPD writing staff who are less likely to barf all over Negima like Xebec did.

I've decided I like the idea of recording my own "Nerine wakeup call" anyway.... my gaming computer is now Nerine-ized. the BIOS has audio POST (in eng or JP) and I've replaced those with snippets of Nerine. Now going through the audio schema in Windows and looking for appropriate Nerine remarks for the more common actions.
Of course my gaming machine is set for JP locale anyway (forces me to work with the written language). Its kind of interesting discovering what apps have JP internationalization built-in (like the Nero software series for CD/DVD burns). And yes, her name is Nerine-chan on my home network.

More on topic, but only slightly; I tried doing the same, only with a phone to copy the Kanon alarm clock sound from the anime. If I do come across one of those Shuffle alarm clocks on eBay at some point though, I might think about trying to get one. Though I doubt I will, since they'd proberly be snapped up pretty quickly and not many making their way over here. |

http://forums.megatokyo.com/index.ph...10498&view=all Here's a better thread on animesuki (includes translations): http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...2&postcount=89 edit: apparently they're putting out a two episode OVA this spring (battle oriented) - perhaps to gauge interest in a second season..... hard to tell from advert screaming. Anyway, that second link is where to continue the discussion.

Shuffle figure update: Nerine
Got my Nerine "waitress cosplay" figure today. Mixed feelings about it. It doesn't really represent Nerine to me.... I'd rather have one of her with a pile of books or studying at the table in that dress (you know.. that dress). They also braided all that lovely hair up.... useful for waitressing but .... ah well nice backside view of her neck, shoulders and derriere. Pics: The backside bow is cute, more evidence of a "sprayed on skirt" ... the saving grace of the braided hair is that her lovely neck and back can be seen. You can see the detail in the uniform here, the lace... not to mention the insanely tight short skirt... which I'm not actually all that thrilled about. Most serious error? Her eyecolor ..... brown with a maybe.. a touch of red. I guess I mostly view this figurine as a painting guide for my resin kit of Nerine but with corrected eyecolor (hair is a bit too light blue as well). Hopefully we'll see other Nerine releases... since everyone seems to like to dress her up. Guessing we'll see Primula next followed by Asa ... but so far I've seen nada in the preorder queues for more Shuffle! Sadly, I'm not expecting an Ama ...now that would be a nice surprise..especially with a removable hat

An Ama could happen.. more or less i'd love one to appear.
Nice Nerine figure there Vexx, i'm not to happy with her paint job though - but apart from that she's a beauty. I'm tempted to order a Shuffle firgure sometime in April.. but i really am spoiled for choice. Waiting for a Primula/Asa one is probably what i'll do, knowing a few of the Nerine ones are calling out to me. >.<

yeah.. given how well Kaede and Sia were done... I am mildly annoyed.
beautiful molding but hair color, eyecolor, and choice of outfits kind of smear the fun a bit. Ah well.. more incentive to get after those resin kits..... I've decided its worth buying a new airbrush for .... #2 son will be happy with that for his kit hobbies. Painting the eyes on these resin kits fret me the most..... it requires a very light touch and you really don't want to make any mistakes and have to clean or overlayer.
