Actually, considering how big the franchise is and how long it has lasted, a databook could be useful.

I do want to believe its Index III, if only because its about time.

Really? recently come out a news saying that there were no plans for a continuation of Index, and now conveniently have a big announcement scheduled for the day of the anniversary of the franchise. little contradiction huh? of course everything could have been just a play of market, but this move did was undermine the serie causing a decrease in sales

common sense says it should be the announcement of Index III, but this world is really driven by common sense?

this reminds me of Blue Exorcist, where the big announcement was a databook, and there is another reason that leads me to believe that there not will be index III, and this is the fact Index have absolutely nothing special in the next issue of Shounen Gangan, this magazine loves promote its series that will earn anime, make a desperate advertising

This is a real possibility, you know. The neptunia OVA had a contest for a life sized Nepgear statue. Not sure if it was voiced, though.

Hey, I would be all for a Touma plush.

I don't mind the Mikoto love. I just dislike her cult. Normal Mikoto fans are okay. Her cult following is bad. Plus, a Railgun movie would likely be anime original meaning...another Poltergeist or worse, another Silent Party Arc.

Full Metal Panic 10th anniversary announcement was merely an event, so I wouldn't get too hopeful, that was also a "big" announcement.

The only difference is that we had a big event last year as well for To aru... regardless, I'm not getting my hopes up after that announcement, though if it only applies to the railgun anime and not the Index anime then I'd be happy... After all, they finally showed the last thing from the railgun anime (the ova...).

Maybe what happened in last chapter of railgun was just part of the hype for this? Anyway...

Maybe we'll get another spin-off manga or maybe Index will become weekly.
