That was a really boring episode. Koito's backstory is as generic as it gets, and not in a good sense. Her personality is dull and her powers are weak. I don't understand why they're going out of their way to make her look weak after hyping up her abilities so much.

Next episode doesn't look much better, but at least it'll be cute, I guess.

It's amazing how the same ~3-4 people return every episode saying how much it bored them. It's like they can't stop watching something that they don't enjoy - oh wait they can.

As for the episode itself, Kurumi is cute. And damn that bear is strong. I like the show regardless how original they made it.

Sluggish episode
Minase isn't a very interesting character and Haruhiko acted too obsessed toward her
also only Mai showed jealousy in this episode

the battle is interesting just because finally they attacked with full-team members
Kurumi is cute and that bears weapon reminded me with certain ghost from Atelier series and Mana Khemia series

seems like either Kurumi or Minato would not officially joined the team
our team is stuck with onee-sama, glutton, troll fairy, and useless summoner

Episode 5
I dunno, none of this is feeling special. I'm quite bored with every episode. The comedy may be okay, but that's not enough to carry this show. It has a lot of boring parts. This episode was centered around Koito who has herself secluded and doesn't interact with many people. I didn't get her reason for being so, or maybe they didn't tell us straight. Anyway, this episode didn't feel like anything special. Everything feels so mediocre or below that I find myself wanting to drop it each week. I think I'll listen to myself now. Goodbye Phantom World.

i think its just me that Kurumi despite her bear theme along with her bear pun name, that her hair style almost makes her look like a bunny, unless her forward facing twin tails was meant to try evoke the rims of bear ears which doesn't seem to work.

Man, is this going to be the most forgotten KyoAni title like Munto once this show is over? It feels like they're going through their "filler phase" until they get to their bigger hitters which are Euphonium S2 and The Silent Voice movie.

I think people are beginning to become used to quick-paced plot to consider this as boring.
Remember, Kekkai Sensen is exactly like this aside from a less pronounced slapstick comedy element.

I understand Kurumi loves bear dolls so much, but Haruhiko getting caught in this affair is kind of sad, I bet he is going to draw a bear familiar for Kurumi to see.

Koito being sincere to Haruhiko at the end of the episode, quite a sight when you see her face so closely.
I'm kind of getting addicted to hearing her voice.

The only problem I can think about this adaptation and how people is getting bored each episode is the changes introduced be Kyoani going full original, maybe I'm wrong but I like to know why people feels like that.

Well, I still like Koito, she is cute and cool. Extremely lazy writing we get also isn't her fault. I believe she will be valuable member of team if kyoani stops worfing her so much.

Also Mai being jelly is cool. I don't understand why I would anyone mind.

Not a fan of Koito but that's to be expected because she's not very likable. This was still a pretty good episode for exploring her motivations though.

I don't really get the negativity surrounding this show. It's not exactly high art, but its fun and the animation is pretty impressive.

While Koito is starting to open up with Haruhiko and the rest, I'm interested in Kurumi-chan as she and Albrecht might become great assets to Mai-cchi's team later on!

Well, that was a pretty weak backstory
Not that i expected any better
But if the end of the episode is any indication she'll get more tolerable from now on

The phantom in this episode seemed like the most troublesome one so far, and honestly the only one that actually felt like a threat

Marchosias isn't 100% useless with his speed and little size, giving the others some opening

Also that bear being alive is no surprise should have been obvious from the OP
