Indeed, I wouldn't mind a reverse harem series with Nina as the lead. For crossover pairings an Emiya Shiro/Nina pairing would be the most interesting. Two incredible determinators with protector-complex as a pair. It wouldn't be like the Shirou/Saber pairing at all.

I dont agree, i like nina's character as it is. Although i see the LayfonxLeerin i feel bad for nina in that sense she is one of my favorite characters.

And truth be told, I think this the part were Layfon is started to be left in the dark. Well the reason why i'm interested in this series is because of Layfon.

Well, that was interesting for sure.

Spoiler for Vol 12, Ch 2:

As I said, Hell on Earth. Indeed, i would've never expected such extreme siege. But let's leave it for later and...
Mention the incredible bike chase battle Savaris and Layfon had. Compared to this, Advent Children's highly visual and acrobatic bike scenes were plain. Seriously, when the two biker spend more time in the air than on their cycle it really shows the intensity. One would never think that someone could use mountain buster energy blast in this situation. I can imagine the terror and shock when someone sees all those mushroom clouds exploding everywhere. In short it wasn't your usual bike chase...at all. I wish they would've animated this...well, along with the rest of the novel of course.

Back to the siege we have some breather and get a view on how the civilians feel. Also with Naruki we see how serious and desperate the battle really is. We get a slice from Leerin's internal conflict and it seems an identity crisis is developing (Knowing the spoilers I kind of expected that).

Then we get to Karian who's about to lose his grip on the situation. It's natural. Suddenly tons of Filth Monsters attack the Zuelni, Nina goes rampage, the Mercenary Gang betrays them, a mysterious fighter appears, two Heaven's Blade Receiver is fighting their own crazy battle and approaching this city. Oh, and of course Grendan appears with the inasnely powerful Queen to make it worse.

Can it be any worse? Yeah, of course it could as Karian gets the reports. Countless monsters(telling their name would be spoiler) are coming from the sky through a rift in space. They are meaner and more powerful than any regular Filth Monster. I wonder if Karian will lose his mind. Any normal person would after a situation like this.

In the end we are getting some development from Nelphilia but because she's new I don't know what to do with it for now. It appears she plotted a quite long scheme and responsible for the creation of Guardian Beasts.

Well, it is as chaotic as it sounds and it reflects on the writing style. That is the only negative point I can bring up about this chapter. I wonder what happens between Nina and the Haikizoku next and whether Dick will reappear to help in this volume. Only time(and the translators or Novel readers^^) can tell.

yeah, things are happening fast in this chapter. Fully packed with lots of actions! Layfon and Savaris' fight on the bikes is epic. I too wish they had animated this properly... maybe we'll see that in second season?

It's also great to see how things fair in the shelter. Leerin's role is slowly emerging.

I feel bad for Zuellni's students. Not knowing what's happening and getting caught in something that probably Zuellni the Electronic Fairy knows all along but is not telling anybody about it.

Actually, since most students are in the shelter, I doubt they get to see any HB on Zuellni.

The explanation about Leerin's father death really surprised me, I just thought about the part her mother had died when she give birth to her but I never thought that the HB could involve in the death of her father.

After reading it. I'm a beat confuse on the heavens blade. I know lintence and savaris aside from delbone the old lady and lafyon. But aside from that, I'm confuse on who's who? Is their an illustration for each heavens blade?

ummm...i haven't found any illustrations so i'll try with descriptions

barmelin: witch girl(there's a pic of her from volume 9)
kanaris: alsheira's body double
karuvarn: old guy with moustaches
tigris: the grandpa with the long beard
cauntia: dark-skinned woman with a scar through her face
reverse: small man in full armor(pic of them in volume 9)
troiatte: the pimp
ruimei: the big guy

i didn't quite understood what was going on with herder and child leerin in tigris's flashback...so herder wanted to flee from grendan with his woman who had just given birth, but when they were trying to do that, filth monsterd attacked? and then someone from a grendan family assassinated herder?

I myself didn't fully understand what was happening with herder (who is he by the way....) and child Leerin plus her mother. I got confused a little bit. Very interesting chapter overall, especially seeing that they introduced all the Heavens Blades in one place. Plus at the end it points out the need for a 12th heaven blade and how Clarabelle is still to young. Is Tigris part of the royal family. Where is all the royal family and who are they? All interesting questions which have me even more intrigued.

If Im not wrong, then the royal plan to assassinate Herder but filth monster suddenly appeared and attack them. Tigris and Delbone planned to destroy the filth monster along with Herder but Deruk poped up and defeated the filth monster so they let him rescued Leerin.

He's quite the guilt-ridden type. I guess he has a serious reason for that. Anyways, interesting developments. Typical hell on earth style finale. Also Leerin's emotinal conflict which was mentioned in the spoilers is starting to bloom. I am waiting for the next chapter. Spoiler for Legend of Regios prologue: The explanation of Aurora Field and Zenshou(or whatever) field was interesting. Same with the infinite worlds theory. As it was just a prologue it didn't get much to the story. ALthough it's funny how Saya changed clothest twice in a row. Although somehow from the title the second volume interests me more. Afterall it explains the birth and rise to power of the big bad or so it seems. Thanks for the translations! @Blewin: I want to make a full list of Keit techniques.
