The cat girl on the cover of the first volume is long dead by the time he even meets Dorothea. Plus they never did anything, so there's no way he gets stabbed over her seeing as Kurando never talks about the past.

In their first meeting, Dorothea is still a virgin who has lingering affecting for her former no-good fiance, but also started to feel for Kurando. She almost gets raped by slavers, but Kurando stops it before anything happens and kills her ex-fiance on his way out of town.

The second time he meets Dorothea, she was enslaved and fairly depressed over seeing Kurando being all happy with a little dark elf without her. This causes her to let an asshole grope her in front of Kurando, but that's all that was. She just wanted Kurando to get jealous like she was, and he did. And later on, it's less she stabs him as it is he makes her stab him. She was trying to get him to cut her down because she was at a complete loss at what to do, being enslaved and all and wanting to save the 32 little slave brats, and he literally jumps at her right onto the sword. Still a virgin throughout all this, too.

And I don't recall what happens later, but he does introduce Dorothea to all his wives without mentioning a word about them beforehand. If he gets stabbed there, it's because he completely deserved it.

The closest NTR related things are when Dorothea doesn't seem all that against getting boned by someone else as Kurando watches if Kurando tells her to (in a not very serious moment), and Lulu who I believe sleeps with someone because she fully intended to kill them later, and did.

I didn't say she has nothing to do with the first volume; I just said she doesn't make it past the first volume. During Kurando's prison stay, she's a slave girl that distributes the food and all the inmates regard her as bad luck. Kurando, being weak toward girls, likes her and talking to her is his initial motivation for wanting to go to explore the dungeon.

She kept holding hope that her older brother would come and buy her back, but all the inmates knew her older brother just told her that to make leaving her easy, and that he had no intention of coming back. Before working at the jail, she was also treated as a sex slave.

During the jail breakout, she died taking a blow for Kurando that even Kurando knew wouldn't have killed him due to his regeneration. Kurando, having a habit of not talking about the past at basically all times, never mentions her to anyone. It was actually a pretty emotional scene involving the Forget-me-not flower.

Victoire, on the other hand, has no reason being on the cover. She's so unimportant in the first volume.
