No, C.C.'s real name was never of any significance to the plot. It served no purpose to furthering the story. As a romantic subplot, yes, it would've been important, but Code Geass does not concern itself with romance in the long run.

I don't think so. He lost people he loved and was determined to make their final resting place a peaceful one. But then he probably realized that he was nothing more than a puppet governer and, finally, stopped caring. He certainly didn't change from "too kind to rule" to "heartless, narcissistic bastard" over night. And of course he didn't want to be disinherited. What would he have done? Sure, what he did was horrible and cruel, but he wasn't beyond redemption. He truly loved his younger brother (errr, don't get me wrong, I mean that in a platonic way), and I think Lelouch could have easily made him realize his mistakes. Quote:

What was left up to the viewers apparently was whether Lelouch got a happy ending or not.

This is sunrise we talk about.
So he is not dead. You should stop being sheep's who follow every world given by your guard dog. The series have done a lot of fanservice, so we as fans should stay by our words. |

*sigh*
I really don't see the point in arguing about this. Let's talk about something less hostile and more intersting. Like... uhm... Clovis! I'm sure Clovis would have had an awesome expression when Lelouch died... if he was still alive, that is. |
