Just finished reading chapter 31.

Spoiler for Chapter 31:

Very fast pace. It looks like Hodr has been planning early evacuations for the worst case senario, but it also looks like he was a bit late in evacuation Lygatto's village. The rescue attempt on Lygatto seems to be a success thanks to Narvi waiting at the right moment and Lygatto waking up at the right time. It would appear that General Beard has given up his command so that he can attempt a rescue for Lygatto. It would also seem that the evacuation for the rest of village seem successful with only two casualties shown.

I found it kind of naive that the soldiers fell for the old "rig the bridge to blow up" trick. A competent pilot would at least be cautious, not just rushing in.

looks like Rygart found Dirfringe finally. Dirfringe's emergency auto pilot kicked in at the last minute and made a successful landing bracing it self on two cliff walls. Rygart can't wait to carry out his vengeance.

Awesome to see that Dirfringe survived. I enjoyed how the characters went to the specific grave of the ones they lost to honor them. Now we will see if Rygart learned from his past mistakes or is he going to let his emotions get the better of him next time round. My question would be how Dirfringe is going to be armored this time?

Well, autopilot is a nice, if not simple, explanation for how Dirfinge survives. I said a while ago that Lygatto will be obsessed with revenge(after all, it's a stage every mecha pilot has to go through ), so we'll see what happens

Seems to be the general the empress of orland send to "help" Krisna against athens. but his orders are actually to observe both sides and when the opportunity present itself he is to strike a decisive blow against athen's army, beat them back and proceed to take over krisna for the empire instead.

I would think so. The invasion of Krisna by Athens was under the guise that Krisna was hiding soilders from an enemy country and believed to by allied to them, so it gave the country of Athens the reason to invade. The actual reason was the Athens had limited resourses with fighting another country and that the conquered Krisna would provide the adequate resourses to continue the fighting.

I just started to read this. I'm really impressed. To be honest I was just cursing the world for not giving me another awesome medieval style mecha manga/anime to watch/read. Then here comes Break Blade.

It does bother me that the romanization of the name is Broken Blade though...

Does anyone know if the series is close to finishing or something? Since they're adapting it into a bunch of movies, I'm just assuming that they're reaching the end.

I'd certainly expect tha manga to be coming to an end soon. Well, that depends on whether or not the movie series is going to follow the manga ending, and if they do or don't mind the movies spoiling the ending of the manga. The last of the movies will be out in theaters this December if I recall correctly.
