well I haven't played Stein's gate it ranks #3 on erogescape for non eroge of course. I would say that is a good indicator of a great game! The anime of Chaos; Head was hmmm not quite that great XD

The Chaos;Head anime was dreadful. I've never been so bored by something so interesting.

not surprising really, VN tend hard to animate if you give them very short amount of time.

Yup definitely.
And to me, that makes shows like Clannad shine even more. It could not have been easy planning out an animation of such a long game with multiple arcs into a '1 way road' series.
Though to be fair, that one got 2 full seasons (what was it like 25 episodes per season?) to work with.

I really hope this much effort is put into Steins;Gate because this epic story really deserves it I'm gonna be mad if they spend like 1 episode going over Suzuha arc! Anyways good luck to White Fox and the director! Don't make it end up like a certain other show *lookin at you Fortune Arterial

Hah, I'll believe that when I see it, but I'm guessing this has a decent budget behind it for him to even say something like that so it's nice to hear.

Steins;Gate can't be 1-cour, neither will be 2-cour, so they ignore the number of episodes for this moment.

Gamewise

Chaos;Head>>>>>>>>>>>Steins;Gate

animewise, well Steins;Gate hasn't come out yet no?

but Chaos;Head anime was far inferior compared to the game.

I wouldn't know how it stands as an anime alone since I played the game first and judge it by that context.

I'm checking out Chaos;Head right now (only on chapter 3) and I didn't realize it was connected to S;G in more ways than just the location.

Like people already mentioned, it's not a direct sequel so there's no reason to go out and watch/play C;H beforehand, but it would've been pretty cool to be familiar with some things from C;H before going into S;G!

Spoiler for such as:
All of a sudden, those text messages from Feiris were not so pointless after all, lol. There's probably more to that list since I'm only on Ch3 for C;H.

The above reason is really not a big deal (just a little easter egg thing at best), and I dunno if the S;G anime will be impacted like that, but you guys should just check out the C;H game anyway! Can't hurt right

Steins;Gate 1st episode premier report is very, very positive.

Quote:
-there was edited version of 1 episode (no OP, ED was credit only), +part of 2 episode where Ruka's appearance take place.
-70~80 people was there
-It seems like this was getting a lot of attention, surprised there were so much reporters are there. Probably more than 30?
-Sex ratio of attendent was about Male:Female, 9:1.
-PS3 was used for the premier
-Screen Atmosphere was exactly that of huke. It has original game's atmosphere.
-I was able to see 'movie quality'. There was stability of the illustration, preferring animation than stop-pictures
-Used BGM of original game. Bell-ringing tone was exactly same.
-in episode one, it seems like they were focusing on tempo, so some complexed explaining conversations were omitted intentionally.
-Even though it is 1-episode, all important fore-shadowing were being shown as it should. Hanazawa said; "1 episode is basically covered all over with foreshadows".
-There were scenes that wasn't in original.

-Highly satisfying episode overall

TOWER_Anime:
だが、(ry #SG_anime
#SG_anime

Glad to hear Steins;Gate preview has been reviewed well as I loved the original game. Wouldn't it be awesome that Nitroplus staffs are involved in making both the #1 and #2 series of 2011
