His score for Tweleve Kingdoms is seriously out of this world. Not to mention his work on the Letter Bee special.

I just hope some fansub group will pick this up if this adaptation turns out to be decent.

Last Impressions and Mochi seem like they are going to do it, according to the wiki anyway.
@Shiroth: Of course those would all be shows I want to see but haven't had the time to see yet I guess I'll just have to find the special (that was fansubbed right?) and check out the score in there.

It was official subbed yes. Now that you've read the manga, i highly recommend that you check it out as soon as possible. Such a sweet but heartbreaking story. & the music, god the music.

Saw the Ova and i liked the music, slightly creepy in places (and since that is a slightly creepy world, perfect) and sad in others. Good, but if people are trying to start watching the series without any spoilers (and I know some people do) I would NOT recommend watching this. Spoils the entire first chapter (and as people here know, that is one BIG chapter, XD ) and I can't wait to see the series.
...I do have one problem with it though. WHY oh WHY Japan do you give young boys such ridiculously high voices...

I found Sawashiro Miyuki to fit Lag quite well. Though it does help that i'm very fond of her voice, and that goes for when she's voicing male and females.

I'm just not that fond of high pitched characters, for some reason that really throw me off. Also some people might've wondered if Lag was a girl in there, the subs I was watching may have even referred to him as one...

what difference does it make if Lag is a boy or a girl?

I personally thought that Sawashiro Miyuki was doing a great Lag. not sure if her voice was the right one to use, but her acting was as great as always, and it wasn't particularly high-pitched, either.

The music was also one of the reasons why I enjoyed the special so much, and I'm glad they are keeping the same composer (really loved his work in Twelve Kingdoms, by the way).

And you can't have a LagxNiche pairing if he's a girl! Well you could but not as many people would support it...
Oh for those who read the manga, chapters 31 and 32 are now out and I think that we're going to start a new arc next chapter.

The poor lady made a mistake. It was dark outside.

Lol, I would've made that mistake too.
Also, a little tangent, has anyone here read the book City of Ember? For some reason I keep thinking of that book when I read this series, probably because it's a city set underground without a central light source.

He's talking about the seiyuu...

There are many women seiyuu that voice male (boy) characters.

No Falkor was talking about the character Lag, not his seiyuu. Read the post again.

From the context of the post it seems that the seiyuu's pitch is what's being discussed.

And if you are looking at Lag and Niche as a pairing (considering their appearances)... I think you need to stay far, far away from children.

Errr, why am I being told to stay far away from children? Children can fall in love or have deep friendships as well (which is more of what goes on between Lag and Niche) regardless of age.

Oh wow yeah, nice pick up. I've only seen the movie and not gotten to read the book but the girl also ended up as a mail/message deliverer if I remember correctly as well, the combination of both of those aspects seem like a pretty good reason the story might jump into your head when thinking of this series.
